“Yeah, but with conditions? I am so confused.”
Probably with an FBI investigation. I cannot believe this charade.

Grassley didn’t rule on the delay. Flake spoke, and then Grassley called the roll and they voted.

Leahy after voting “NO” is trying to make demands on the motion.

I highly doubt they have that power

Grassley making it clear that when to hold the floor vote and whether to conduct yet another investigation is McConnell’s decision.

The committee voted to refer the matter to the floor (good!) but delay the floor vote for one week for another investigation (real bad!). Uhhm, someone might want to tell Flake that the Judiciary committee can't "order" the full Senate to delay anything. Once they advance it to the floor, it's totally out of their hands. Grassley just might have pulled a quick one on Flake to get him to advance the nomination to the floor.

That was the only way they could get Flake’s vote.
To: Raebie
sounds like thats up to McConnell. Flakes request was not the motion they just voted on.

Nope. The Senate does not control the FBI. There is a process to follow. Trump can order an investigation, but I doubt he will.

I am furious too. Flake can drop dead.
Cannot believe the smear machine is allowed to roll on even after Lindsey Graham called out the entire operation.
