The father of a missing 6-year-old boy with autism says his son ran away from him in a park last Saturday in North Carolina and he couldn't catch him. The FBI and over 300 officers are searching the more than 240-acre park, including a lake.

"It didn't look as though, they were that concerned," Foxx said of the boy's father and his girlfriend, who was with him at the park. "I've worked there almost three years and we see everybody come in and out of that park pretty much. I didn't see that kid one time."

****I’m getting a “404 page not found” message when I click the link. :-(*****

Same here - perhaps they had too many hits. Forget how old the article was.

Computer problems happen. Been there before.
Just posted the link to the one I was talking about.
You’re right about the number of cases that show up in search. Sickening.

Very sad but expected. It’s becoming too common.

I thought it probably was but wanted to be sure.

And sadly the one in NC appears to have had the same sad ending. Now they just have to figure out which parent killed him.

You can walk a mile in any direction from that lake, and you hit some significant road.

Only if you walk in a straight line. A lost person, especially a child, often does not walk in a straight line.

Now they are saying he could have followed the creek down to where they found his body.It was in 2-3 feet of water under some brush camouflaging him.

“It was in 2-3 feet of water under some brush camouflaging him.”

The ‘perp’ must have dumped him there.
