I don’t think Kav had a say in it, since it’s a committee decision but I would expect them to tell her to do a very thorough job of quizzing him on anything the Dems would bring up. So it’s a matter of Kav saying, in effect, “asked and answered” if they bring it up.
Certainly agree with that.
It appears I may have been mistaken as to the role Mitchell was to play. The fragment I got was, "It is agreed Mitchell would speak on behalf of the R's."
R's, of course, would treat Ford as a hostile witness without being offense. I can't help but think most of the R's would be anxious to ask K questions that put Ford's testimony in doubt.
