I fully believe it...it’s the only plausible theory so far. I wondered if maybe he was threatened with libel so he apologized, but cooperating with the owner sort of makes sense. However, Garrett could be opening himself up to criminal liability if he admits to anything...you know those Dems are out for blood and will be looking for anything to save face if this doesn’t work as they hoped!

I have this comical notion that Garrett has a key piece of evidence that completely undermines Ford's story, such as:

"It wasn't Kavanaugh, it was me! And she didn't run away. I got her clothes off!" ... at which point he produces a 1980s-vintage swimsuit with Christine Blasey's name on the tag. LMAO.

And Garret's not up for a Supreme Court seat, so nothing to gain, goodwill to lose.
