You know a lot of bedrooms don’t even have locks on them. Not remembering the house is pretty convenient, as you might be able to show that in fact no bedrooms in that house even have locks. I have no doubt this is totally made up.
I think this woman may have had a bad experience w/ 4 guys in a room in the 80s - but this account is a carefully crafted story that may or may not be loosely based on that.
It is totally made up and done so by a pro. I really think they should just scrap the Kavanaugh nomination and start on the female judges hearings. It takes about 67 days to put a judge in place and there are more than 90 days that republicans will hold the senate for sure. If the “Balsey” woman continues her pursuit of Kavanaugh it can be thoroughly investigated.
I'm an engineer by trade, and I would have to confirm this but I believe an interior door in a residential dwelling cannot operate the way she describes. I found one citation from a building/fire code that explains this:
1. Locks must be installed so they shall be opened from the inside of the room without the use of a key or without requiring any special knowledge or effort.
2. Doors from individual rooms are permitted to be equipped with a night latch, dead bolt or security chain as long as such devices can be opened from the inside without the use of a key or tool.
She's full of sh!t.
Generally, bedroom doors that lock only do so from the *inside*. Yeah, I'd say this is all fabricated.
Most interior door locks are so flimsy, they can be broken easily with one moderate blow at the edge of door delivered by an average older woman. They consist of a button on the knob that immobilizes turning the knob.
Ask any mother with irritating teenagers who lock themselves in to avoid parental confrontation.
You made some good points.
She doesn’t “remember” the house, but remembers the stairwell, the upstairs bathroom, and the bedroom at the top of the stairs?
All this suposedly came about in 2012 when she was in counciling, and not a peep about it then? He’s been vetted by the FBI six times and they never came across this story?
On a side note:
When I was in high school, a senior raped a sophomore girl at a party, and by that Tuesday morning pretty much everyone at school knew about it and that senior was shunned from the various social circles, and was forced off the football team (those of us on the team dealt with him harshly). Not sure if charges were ever filed against him. Even to this day nobody from his class talks to him.
I don’t buy that she kept this to herself all this time.
And I agree with your assessment that this is a fabrication.
