MCCONNELL, at #VVS18 in DC just got a standing ovation when he declared:
"in the very near future, Judge Kavanaugh will be on the United States Supreme Court"
Just do it.
I wonder if they’re going to hold the committee vote on Monday morning without any testimony from either Kavanaugh or Betty Ford. The meeting has already been scheduled. No reason to have Kavanaugh sit for any more testimony if this so-called “accuser” is a no-show.
He’s caving, and Trump is backing down on the release. Not a good morning.
Kavanaugh has been in all along. This whole thing is an attempt to get more leverage for the next nominee.
Time to play hardball. Too many words. Too little action. Call for a vote now. Today or at the latest Monday. The time for voting is now.
I don’t necessarily like Mitch, but I trust him when he puts his reputation on the line. Everything will be fine. I’m going on a news blockout for the next few days.
1. Do we even have a hearing?
2. If so, what's the point? Does Kavanaugh testify again? Does he even want to?
3. If Kavanaugh doesn't testify, should we just hold the committee vote and pass the nomination on to the floor of the Senate?
Totally disagree. The gauntlet was laid down and has come and gone. There’s no need for an immediate Grassley statement; sometime today he’ll let us know what time on Monday the vote shall be. Ford is last century’s news.
You’re right...Kavanaugh will sit on the Supreme Court.
One problem we’ll face in the future is finding good, decent people willing to accept nominations such as to the Supreme Court.
Ya, that is why Trump is pissed about this. Trump is also backing down on the release. Go read his twitter feed, Lose lose.
You are the voice of reason on this issue. Too much knee jerk is going on which are likely erroneous positions.
1. Nope
2. See 1
3. Yup. Get the nays on the record for future actions.
That was easy. Next!!

THIS.
That probably is the ultimate goal of all this, it's been the Liberal way for years, to turn conservatives completely off from the idea of serving in government....who needs the aggravation that you have to put up with? Better just staying in the private sector.
Hes caving, and Trump is backing down on the release. Not a good morning.
That’s a relief that McConnell is fed up with the Left’s tactics and intends to move on.
When this stuff fails miserably, it reduces the chances of it happening again. I remember one liberal said to me that we let people testify about Anita hill and that set the standard. I laughed at him for using the word, “Standard” and said that what we learned is that we will never do that again. And I think what we learned this time is that we will never let it go this far again either.
