The woman who accused Supreme Court justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault back when they were in high school wants a law enforcement investigation of the incident before testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee, according to her lawyer who appeared on CNN Tuesday night.
Kavanaugh is expected to testify Monday.
“Any talk of a hearing on Monday frankly is premature because she just came forward with these allegations 48 hours ago. And since that time, she has been dealing with hate mail, harassment, death threats. So she’s been spending her time trying to figure out how to put her life back together, how to protect herself and her family. And there hasn’t been an investigation and these are serious allegations,” Lisa Banks, Christine Blasey Ford’s lawyer, said.
“She’s not prepared to talk with them at a hearing on Monday,” she continued. “No investigation — any legitimate investigation is not going to happen between now and Monday."

If she’s not sure of the facts, and she fears the consequences of bearing false witness against others, then why in the world did she even bother to open her piehole?
She has no idea when or where this party took place, who invited her, how she got home, but she thinks she was assaulted by someone and 40 years later has decided it was Kavanaugh.
And now she’s upset because she fears consequences.
Apparently she has the same problem now that she had then...how to keep her business to herself instead of spreading it among 64 of her peers, and now the whole world.
But Kav is as much of a gentleman now as he was then.

The FBI has already said no investigation.
Grassley says the hearing for this Ford woman is scheduled for Monday, no delays.
And the woman herself won't come forward to testify at the hearing Monday because...?

The FBI has completed their investigation. There was no Federal crime alleged and the FBI does not have jurisdiction to investigate further. End of investigation.

For you to say NOW that you won’t testify until AFTER the FBI investigates is completely unacceptable.
First, instead of notifying the Washington Post, you should have called the FBI. You made this political.
Second, you have not provided a scintilla of evidence that your allegation has any factual basis at all. In fact, the available media reports I have seen diminish, rather than bolster, your allegations.
In short, you can show up for the hearing to answer questions or we will continue forward and dismiss your allegations.”
i’m pretty sure the FBI is supposed to FULLY investigate every reported incident of high-school children wresting with their clothes on at a party, especially incidents reported 35 years later ...
