The tragedy in all of this is that the Leftists and Democrats can only play this hand once and, if it doesn't go in their favor, it will hurts millions of women who have legitimate claims of abuse. It is a risk that the Democrats are willing to take.

The leftists and Democrats will hurt the very people that the claim to defend and protect — women. Of course, all of the bluster is meaningless because of the many accusations against prominent Democrats. Simply put, they don't really care about women's rights and are hypocrites.

Maybe I am naïve but I wonder if assaults against women were as frequent prior to the sexual revolution of the 60s? Ya know: back when we were all prudes and our culture discouraged sex before marriage.

Maybe the freedom that the sexual revolution offered wasn't as liberating as everyone had hoped? Maybe it did more harm than good.

Yale-law-grad and law professor Glenn Reynolds (blogger Instapundit), has said that the entire course of feminism/sexual liberation looks like it was designed by horny teenaged boys.
