Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort has agreed to cooperate fully and truthfully with special counsel Robert Muellers investigation, Judge Amy Berman Jackson said in federal court on Friday.
Jackson said this would include submitting to interviews with the special counsel and providing documents related to the probe.
Manafort pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy against the United States and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice by witness tampering on Friday. He agreed to forfeit several properties and bank accounts, including his property at Trump Tower in New York, as part of his deal.
Manafort's decision to cooperate with Mueller's probe could be significant. He had previously not reached a deal to cooperate, and was found guilty of eight charges in a trial last month brought under Mueller's investigation.
Trump's first national security adviser, Michael Flynn, and Richard Gates, a former associate of Manafort's who testified against him, are also cooperating with Mueller's probe.
According to NPR this involves nothing related to Trump.
So who did he flip on?
That only leaves Tony Two-toes.
Lots of people seem to think Trump is infallible, but obviously he has made some politically costly mistakes. Not saying he’s weak, just that he’s not immune from making errors of judgement.
I am deeply concerned about the highly partisan behavior and disregard for legal constraints inside the highest levels of our law enforcement agencies. As a leader, Trump has to set the tone in his executive branch by demanding high standards of conduct and integrity. Nothing short of that should be acceptable to him or those who voted for him. He has to regain control over his own branch of government.
Why would that yield Pence? All of that stuff was pre-Trump and he has ties to virtually every Republican candidate for pres in the last 30 years.
I was wondering!
You have to remember the 23 hours of confinement was done because Manafort he abused the trust of the court and lost his house arrest privileges. Once in jail, he was isolated to protect him from the general population. Instead of it being a burden, he was blessed to be in isolation.
Agreed.
May have been a deep state set up, but why the lies from the Trump side of the equation?
Complete BS.
Collectively blow us.
He can and possibly will just make things up, whatever Mueller tells him to say.
I think it is horrible.
