Former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort has reached a "tentative" plea deal with special counsel Robert Mueller, ABC News reported Thursday.
The deal is expected to be announced in a court hearing on Friday.
It was previously reported that Manafort was seeking a plea deal that would keep him from having to cooperate with prosecutors. A plea deal would allow Manafort to avoid his upcoming trial in Washington, D.C.
Manafort was convicted on multiple criminal financial charges last month in a separate trial in Virginia.

Why go to the trouble? You’re going to get a presidential pardon.
I doubt he’ll get a pardon, but maybe a commutation instead.
That’s not the scuttlebutt I’m hearing. Reality Winner will get a commutation but Manafort is getting a pardon.
I’ve never been incarcerated or jailed in any way.
I have no idea what that feels like.
Maybe Mr. Manafort just needs to get out asap, and deal with the charges (bogus or not) in some other manner.
The wheels of justice tend to grind slowly for conservatives.

In my federal job I spent a lot of time working in federal, state and county jails/prisons. Such jewels as Leavenworth, Terre Haute, Milwaukee and Cook County jails, etc. You don’t want to be incarcerated or jailed in any way.

The only plea ‘deal’ anyone at all should be reaching with Mueller is to visit Mueller in prison.
Which is right where he should be cooling his heels for the next ten years.
