Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas) is hosting a private fundraising event in New York on Wednesday as he campaigns to unseat Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R) in November.
According to the event invitation, first obtained by CNBC, the campaign fundraiser will take place at the Cutting Room, a concert venue in Manhattan. Andy Cohen, host of the Bravo's late night show "Watch What Happens," will also be in attendance.
The fundraiser comes as O'Rourke's senate race against Cruz tightens. A CBS Dallas-Fort Worth/Dixie Strategies poll from Wednesday shows Cruz's margin at 46 to 42 percent, with 9 percent undecided and a margin of error of +/- 4.3 percent.

Anyway, maybe this is why Beto has no time to debate Ted Cruz.

Cruz will get at least 55% of the vote. All Beto is doing is sucking vast sums of money better spent on other Democrat candidates.
I have the sneaking suspicion that the Democrats are being tricked with this one into sinking money into a lost cause. That is, if we knew that Cruz had a lock on this race, then encouraging the Dems to throw away millions on it would mean they couldn’t use it elsewhere. It would also have a demoralizing effect on them.
This Fake Mexican is counting on “cultural appropriation” to win, but Ted Cruz, a genuine Hispanic, will keep his seat in Nov.

But if I were the Republicans, I would tell anyone who would listen that he is. I would express “private fears” to any media outlet that would listen.
I would do so to get the democrats to keep sinking funds into this guy.
