Old Land Rovers were cramped. The LR Defender is still like that. Big new Range Rovers are cavernous.

Yeh the big one. My brother has that new Range Rover Sport with the big engine. It is more swept back on the main roof line to look sexy.

Caww, that is a sad picture which at a glance captures the misery brought by storm Florence.

The flooding is not over. It takes a while for some streams and rivers to drain, all the while their height is increasing. No telling how bad the flooding will be in NC.
Here in the Keys we get fresh water runoff into florida bay. It’s a natural occurence. It takes 81 days for the water to run off from lake Okechobee to Fla. Bay.I’m sure its going to take a few days even in NC for all water to run off from where it landed.
It’s probably a mistake to rule the effects of Florence over for a while yet.

The NHC issued its last tropical weather update for Florence at 0500 Sunday. Florence has weakened to a tropical depression.

significant river flooding are likely over portions of the Carolinas
and the southern to central Appalachians from western NC
into west-central Virginia and far eastern West Virginia through
early this week
Max sustained winds 35 mph
Moving W at 8 mph

Amazing that it takes 81 days for runoff from Okeechobee to reach FL Bay.
As the remnants of Florence loop around to the west then north over the mountains, the rain water will eventually drain back down toward the coast. Indeed, the effects from Florence aren't over for a while.

The storm formerly known as Florence made landfall September 14. Still obliterates VA/NC/SC, two-thirds of GA, half of TN, and more. A substantial portion of the system remains over Atlantic waters.
