They are evacuating Chincoteague, Va. too. they are trying to give time to those on the coast to get out of dodge. Although I honestly feel that S.C. will not get it as bad as they said just yesterday. This storm seems to be heading further north away from S.C. Even MD has a SOE in place now.
It’s push a little farther north. But there;’s a block to the north (as well as to the west). The latest model shows it stalling over the outer banks. MD should be fine and SC should be ok to. NC and southern Virginia get tons of rain and the outer banks get all the wind and waves.
