Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, seizing on an explosive op-ed from an anonymous administration official, said Thursday that it's time to use constitutional powers to remove President Donald Trump office if top officials don't think he can do the job.
"If senior administration officials think the President of the United States is not able to do his job, then they should invoke the 25th Amendment," Warren told CNN. "The Constitution provides for a procedure whenever the Vice President and senior officials think the President can't do his job. It does not provide that senior officials go around the President -- take documents off his desk, write anonymous op-eds ... Everyone of these officials have sworn to uphold the Constitution of the United States. It's time for them to do their job."

I am growing very weary of these radical leftist nutjobs making these kind of irresponsible, dangerous statements. She is one who needs to take her hand away from her gun holster before we draw on her in self-defense.

or of such other body as Congress may by law provide
Which means that in order to go this route, Congress would have to pass it and get President Trump to sign it. Or do they think they can get the 2/3 vote from both houses to override his veto?

Maybe we could arrange for NYT to receive such an anonymous libelous op-ed? Just a thought :)

Try to overthrow a constitutionally elected president and start a civil war.
I reall dont think that these idiots have really thought through the potential consequences of their proposed actions. Of course...what did you expect, really. Liberals. Continuing their trail of disaster and ruin well into the still-newish century.

“By the way, the 2th amendment does not stop us from putting him back in. And it does not stop us from firing every republican senator that votes him out.”
If you’re talking about the 25th Amendment, the Senate has nothing to to with it. It is NOT impeachment, it is the removal of the President for health reasons (including mental health) by the Cabinet. It was passed in the aftermath of the JFK assassination, under the assumption that we couldn’t have a crippled President while facing a potential nuclear Pearl Harbor from the Russkies.

they don’t have to ‘think’ they have to prove. Big difference, Fakahauntingus. And, btw, we’ve heard this song since day one. OTOH, maybe the Dems need to ‘prove’ that their current field of communist candidates and a few sitting critters are sane prior to mid-terms, because the Reps ‘think’ they aren’t.

It doesnt matter any way. Even if the process somehow started, the President could just send them a letter saying he is fine and the whole thing is done.
Its not done. That letter just starts round two. The cabinet gets to invoke the 25th again. And now the impeachment starts. I guess Trump can fire them all before they meet again. But then the congress can meet and impeach him. The reality is that neither will happen. And the Senate does not have 60 votes to impeach. And if they do, the republican party will be just like the Whig Party.

The whole story is ridiculous.
The idea that Trump doesn’t know what papers are on his desk or expected to be delivered to his desk is democrat wishful thinking.
The idea that Trump wouldn’t quickly find out that a paper that had been delivered to his desk went missing is also insane.
If anyone took papers from Trump’s desk, they would be quickly identified and outed and they would hear those famous words....
You’re Fired!

I heard she wrote recipes for a cookbook called “Pow Wow Chow”. Hard to believe she was associated with such a politically incorrect book title.
