Acts of sabotage against the president are perilous to the American system of government. They're also self-serving.
The title of Bob Woodward’s new book, Fear, contains a multitude of meanings. For one thing, it describes the attitude of many of President Trump’s own aides toward his judgment.
It’s not just that many sources were willing to tell Woodward damaging stories about Trump: The most stunning examples are those where top aides reportedly thwarted his will. Even more stunning is an anonymous op-ed published in The New York Times Wednesday afternoon written by a purported “senior official in the Trump administration.”
The writer says that senior Trump officials “are working diligently from within to frustrate parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations. I would know. I am one of them.” The official adds: “We believe our first duty is to this country, and the president continues to act in a manner that is detrimental to the health of our republic.”
The op-ed is so bizarre that it is tempting to dismiss it as fantasy—akin to the obviously bogus Twitter accounts that flourished early in the administration claiming to be by saboteurs inside the White House. (While the Times has likely done its homework, expect the president to question the veracity of the source.) Yet what the anonymous official says lines up closely with the accounts in Woodward’s book, in which officials steal documents, act on their own, and simply disregard orders from the president....

Could Obama be still involved in this resistance?
He's not going to resign.
He still has a lot of aces up his sleeve he hasn't played yet.
It clearly is an SES or GS employee. Otherwise, the “job would be jeopardized” comment at the beginning of the NYT article makes no sense. No appointee expects a permanent job. And most appointees come from success and can return to it.
Agreed. There are millions of people who only see the headlines on social media or hear the latest soundbite from late night TV. It’s been nonstop negativity and almost no positive stories about the economy.
People here on Free Republic called Obama lazy.
He was anything but.
For eight years, he worked diligently putting his loyal apparatchik in place in every level of government in DC. From the people at the top plotting the course to the people in the middle carrying out the tasks at hand, to the guy at the bottom sweeping the floors, every unelected bureaucrat in Washington DC is an Obama loyalist and voted for Hillary Clinton.
And they are doing what they can in every little way to hobble President Trump.
And at the end of the day, Barack Obama bought a house in DC and moved his Senior Advisor, Valerie Jarrett, in as his roommate.
Is Obama still involved? Sure looks like it.
The Deep State and their media water carriers have tried everything to get rid of the president and all efforts have failed. This is desperation folks. Whatever acts of treason they have committed are so heinous and damaging to the country they have to drive this president out of office before he exposes what they’ve done.
I said long ago that Obama was not done. A few disagreed with me.
I say Obama (and his enablers) are still at work.
WHY did Obama buy a house in D.C.? No President stays in D.C. once his term(s) are over.
I don’t know the exact answer. But I think we’re seeing some of the effects. (IOW the Kenyan Usurper and co. aren’t done usurping).

On a different note, next Tuesday is the 9/11 anniversary, too (again on a Tuesday, as it would eventually come up). (Sorry, I’m just adjusting my tinfoil hat a little bit on that last part).
With all this chaos being caused by Democrats I hope somebody is paying attention to Muslim terrorists. Just saying.

How old exactly is Bob Woodward now, anyway? (Oh. Just gotta do the math... His birthday was March 26, 1943.)
Please excuse my perceivable disrespect to folks around his age. My mother died of Alzheimer’s Disease and its complications on July 31. She was 81.
They’re pulling out all stops. Even a fake article in NYT about someone in the WH. I don’t believe it.
Forgive my frankness folks, but I honestly thought I would be to on in my years to actively participate in a 2nd Civil War. I honestly can’t say that with confidence now.
Deep State active measure, aka disinformation against Trump all orchestrated by the intell community.
Woodward by reputation has had “deep” intel sources in the past - or at least some people so felt.

They are following this gameplan with Trump and it’s very worrying. The media knows he can’t win with just the political junkies like us. He needs average Americans just going about their lives and all they are hearing is bad news since he was elected. It has an effect. 2-3% is all it would take.
