Omarosa Manigault Newman secretly recorded nearly all the conversations she had in the White House — including those she had with “all of the Trumps,” according to a report Monday.
The ousted White House aide carried two devices — a government-issued phone and a personal one she would record on, a source who witnessed her make many of the recordings told Axios.
Manigault Newman would hit record before walking into meetings and tuck her personal cell into a pocket or small purse, the source said. She would also put calls on her government phone on speaker and record with her personal one.
She did this, the source said, to “cover her own butt.”
The former “Apprentice” star was paranoid about her communications getting hacked, so she would only use Facebook Messenger to contact the source, instead of emailing or texting.
In January, chief of staff John Kelly instituted a ban on personal cellphones in the West Wing between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. on weekdays.

All this just ‘evidences’ Omarosa was up to no good for this President and his administration from day one. I suspect she was likely willingly sent on a mission for the Obama/Clinton machinery.................won’t be the first time they use a lowlife woman to attack this administration...it is their Hmo.
As long as the Demoratic Party keeps using woman to tear into our politicians it just shows the cowardness of their men to stick their own necks out there......and further degrades the women they falsely believe deserve better yet ......they continue to use and exploit their women.

Regarding both of these criminal women, if they aren’t going to be held accountable, JEFF, then expect anyone and everyone to do the same from this point on, and don’t complain about it.
Recording in the White House, fine. Secret private server with unsecured classified data, fine.

the sadness of the game is it all has to be hidden, “plausible deniability” win or lose, otherwise where is the fun in the game?

As much as I like and support this President, his choices of who he surrounds himself with leaves much to be desired, to say the least.
The entire administration should have been staffed exclusively with deplorables from day one, imo.
There’s no doubt she broke laws by doing this and is a national security threat. She belongs in Gitmo or Leavenworth; wherever the law demands she be. I figure 50 years should give her enough time to think about her crimes and giver her the just punishment she deserves.

What I don’t understand is why these people aren’t searched for listening devices before entering the White House. If they want to call out or receive calls or messages, they can use the White House phones or e-mail.
The Federal Wiretap Act:
In response to the public outcry about the government’s covert recording of the activities of political activist groups in the 1960s, Congress enacted the Wiretap Act as part of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968. (18 U.S.C. § 2510.)
Illegal Recording Under the Wiretap Act:
Under the federal Wiretap Act, it is illegal for any person to secretly record an oral, telephonic, or electronic communication that other parties to the communication reasonably expect to be private. (18 U.S.C. § 2511.)
Exceptions:
There are two huge exceptions built into this law that have the capacity to gut it of effect. A recording otherwise in violation of the Wiretap Act is legal if:
One person to the conversation consents to the recording, or
the person making the secret recording is authorized by law to do.
In practice, this means that recording a conversation is legal if the person making the recording is a party to the conversation (and, therefore, consents to the recording). This creates a rather large loop-hole.

She violated US code, and she could be tried for each recording.
Every state has different rules on this issue.
California is one of the strictest re recording someone without their knowledge.
We have been using a professional, re certain house cleaning task 3-4 times per year for decades.
His new wife’s criminal son had moved in with them and was causing a lot of problems.
He was going to record him admitting to breaking standing drug laws and not tell the criminal that he was recording him.
We advised him to check first with his personal lawyer.
His lawyer said to never do that.
His advice was To confront the criminal face to face and tell him that they was going to record his responses on their cell phone.
He did and the idiot son laughed and said that it didn’t matter.
They recorded the son admitting to past and current drug laws. Their phone was on a table, and they told him several times that he was being recorded. He just laughed and bragged about his illegal activities.
The recordings were saved on a cloud, and the son was told if anything happened to his mother or her husband. Those recordings would be sent to the DEA and local DA.
They gave him 1 hour to move out with his common law wife.
He refused to move and left. They had a locksmith on call and he changed the locks. So they packed up the son’s stuff and put it in their driveway and texted him re his stuff. The local cops drove by their home slowly throughout the afternoon and night.
The son tried to get a lawyer to sue his mother and his step dad. No lawyer would accept the case.
They then got a restraining order banning the thug and have turned a copy of the recording over to local cops/asst DA’s.
The thug has disappeared since then.
So obviously she was a spy. Hang her.
