I haven't been to a movie theater in years. I simple refuse to put up with the fake sound tracks. It real life there is background noise. People talking drown out the background noise most of the time. In movies, the fake background noise drowns out people talking. To overcome this, the theaters turn up the volume so loud that they damage the hearing of everyone in the theater.

There is a simple, inexpensive solution for this. Don't go to theaters.

I have the other issue of high frequency hearing loss from military service. The loud sound just amplifies the bass tones and drowns out my effort to hear the treble.
