Particularly nice was seeing the plane coming into California and then taking the casket to his Presidential library. The final service happened just as the sun set in the west. Gorgeous tribute, down to the final minutes.
I haven’t watched a minute of the endless bread bowl, as one of the chain restaurants puts it. Reagan had a wonderful set of ceremonies, and I don’t remember a single bitter word spoken by anyone. The only criticism I had was that the two Bushes spoke and neither of them were eloquent in the slightest. I’m sure that with all the Trump bashing, there’s not a dry eye in the Capitol, I can assure them there hasn’t been a wet eye in this house since McCain went to join Ted Kennedy.
