This struck me as strange. If daddy and grandad are buried at Arlington, why would you not be as well? Considering NN had an ego as big as a fighter jet and all.

My 1st thoughts that this was the deal he made with his GF and dad to get him out of the trouble he got into on the Forrestal or maybe because of his singing at the Hanoi Hilton.
Just maybe he did have a smidgen of honor and knew he was not entitled or deserving to be buried at Arlington.
Guess this mystery is something else he took to the grave with him.
