Attorney Lanny Davis says he was an anonymous source in a July CNN story that reported his client, Michael Cohen, had privately claimed that President Trump had advance knowledge of the infamous Trump Tower meeting between his son and Russians contradicting Davis's own words on CNN's air last week.
In the story, Cohen was reported to claim he had personally witnessed Donald Trump Jr. informing then-candidate Trump about the June 2016 meeting. Such a claim from Cohen would directly contradict Trumps statements about his knowledge of the meeting, where Russians were set to offer dirt on Hillary Clinton.
CNNs July 26 story has come under fresh scrutiny in recent days after Davis acknowledged he had served as an anonymous source for multiple news outlets who were seeking to confirm the CNN article in the hours after it published. Davis has backed away from the story in recent days, telling the Washington Post that he is not certain if the claim is accurate, and that he could not independently corroborate it.

Lanny Davis = Clinton Crime Family
><
He their Consigliere.
American politics is revolting.
><
It really is. America is as corrupt as any nation on earth.
It is due out in October, and I plan to purchase the audible version, the eBook version (so I can electronically mark it up) and if I can get one, a signed version.
It will tell the whole story, I am certain of it. Everything he has said to this point has panned out, and it will all be in the book.
That’s the book for me-—I really like Bongino-——and man, does he get angry.
.
The muleass thing would be a sideshow to what is important and positive were it not for those it is destroying. When it finally wanes there should be severe consequences for those who whistled up this monster and for those who carried out the witch hunt willingly. And by consequences I mean serious jail time and for some death sentences for their coup attempt.
This is the biggest political scandal in the entire history of this country. This has been an effort to invalidate an election, spying on an opposition party during a Presidential campaign, framing the candidate in conjunction with using the full legal, political and intelligence components of the government to carry it out.
This is unheard of.
There are three parts to it:
Each one of these major aspects alone might be the biggest scandal.
This IS important. If we don't put the screws to this in a way that discourages people in the future from doing this, we are simply going to see more of it. And worse, we are already living in a surveillance state. They simply blew right through the thin veneer of protections to do what they wish with a wealthy, famous Presidential candidate using the full instruments of government power to do so.
If they do that, unimpeded, what chance do we as individual citizens have to be protected by that veneer of protections?
If it goes unexamined and unpunished, it will be open season on us as well.
Funny, I don’t think he gets angry as much as he gets excited and emotional.
Now Mark Levin...THAT guy gets smoking mad...I worry about him just having stroke.
I appreciate your analysis of the whole mess.
Your very last sentence reflects why I have become somewhat frustrated and detached from this situation. The spying has been announced and described many times over the last year and a half.
To this date NOT ONE person has been indicted, imprisoned or convicted by what is supposed to be the nations’s head lawyer, Atty. General Sessions. Nobody!!!! Mueller continues to collect scalps galore, and our side has Jeff Sessions, the flat front tire on Trump 18 wheeler movement.
There is absolutely nothing that I can do about it. NOTHING.
So, to maintain what remains of my sanity, I have learned to just ignore that ‘sound&fury signifying mostly nothing’ for now. You are correct. If all this is ignored and unpunished,
it will mark a most ominous turning point for this nation.
I agree. Remember, this whole part of the scandalous coup against the Trump presidency now being discussed is just the massive cover-up of even more hideous crimes by the Clinton/Obama cabal.
We haven't yet heard zip about their attempts to spark a worldwide nuclear war, or their creation, funding, arming of ISIS (including McCain), or the hundreds of other scandals linked to the Clinton Foundation and all its tentacles.
It is going to get much, much uglier, and they must be stopped, either by civil justice, or by military action.
These people are evil, the worst ever in history. They had the means, motive, opportunity, and intention, to enslave and/or exterminate 6.5 Billion people, worldwide.
“It will tell the whole story, I am certain of it. Everything he has said to this point has panned out, and it will all be in the book.”
Dan has been on the mark but he has a deadline when more decisive SpyGate details will be coming out. I wish him luck, maybe a later deadline will work.
SpyGate is tipping to explode.
Whatever happened to Ann Davis, (that portly librarian-looking sidekick of his during the Clinton-Lewinsky drama)? they were like the bonnie and Clyde of stupid political hacks.
I think what you describe is the thing that drives nearly everybody crazy about this
This demonstrates the absolute inertia that government bureaucracy imparts onto everything. But even more it illustrates the tentacles by which corruption protects itself.
I hope to God it can be overcome.
Bit by bit it is all coming apart. The Rats cant keep their lies straight.
Or maybe Lanny is just another dumb bunny who thought any lie would be protected by the media. Easier to believe than some convoluted conspiracy that has Cohen emerging as a hero...
They try so hard, and the harder they try, the more they show they are the bad guys and Trump is the good guy....
“He made up a bunch of stuff that he KNEW was false in order to plead guilty to some stupid stuff.”
I don’t get it. Why would someone do that?
Hillary and her USSC pick.
Cohen (played by Frank Pantangeli): "Oh, Donald Trump, No. I never heard of it. I never heard of nothing like that. I was in the real estate business with his him a long time ago. That's all.
The FBI guys promised me a deal. So I made up a lot of stuff about Donald Trump and his kids. Because then, that's what they wanted. But it was all lies. Everything. They said Donald Trump did this, Donald Trump did that. So I said, "Yeah, sure."
To avoid the expense of a long-drawn-out trial. To get it over with and out of the media before the midterms. To help spread some disinformation.
