ox News analyst Brit Hume took a swipe at President Trump over his tweet offering condolences to the family of GOP Sen. John McCain (Ariz.), who died Saturday at the age of 81.
Hume pointed out that Trump’s tweet avoided praising McCain himself, setting it vastly apart from the dozens of tributes to the late senator posted by lawmakers from both parties.
“My deepest sympathies and respect go out to the family of Senator John McCain,” Trump tweeted Saturday after the announcement of McCain’s death. “Our hearts and prayers are with you!”
“Still not a kind word about McCain himself,” Hume replied.

Fact is: John McCain was a very flawed human being, a hater, jealous, envious, cold hearted, no class, misfit bully.
Yes McCain had his good moments...but they were rare at best. Now if the media had presented mcCain as he really was we, would have seen and viewed the good and the bad...period. As it is what we got delivered over the TV was a cranked up Fairy tale told to us by the deep swamp establishment...SAD!!!

Had President Trump praised John McCain - his remarks would have been jumped on by the MSM as ‘hypocritical’.
Trump had the right approach. He did not draw attention to the bad blood with McCain or use it as an opportunity to talk about himself - unlike Hillary Clinton who mentioned her drinking buddy John McCain. I’m sure his children appreciated that/s)!!!
But the fact that he is dead doesn't earn him any undeserved praise that he did not deserve in life.

If Trump praised McCain, they would have criticized him for being a hypocrite.
McCain said he doesn’t want Trump at his funeral. McCain is the guy who sent his staffer to London to pick up the dossier and then McCain passed it to Comey. And McCain gave his famous thumbs-down preventing the repeal of Obamacare. This after campaigning that he would repeal it.

If you know the history between McCain and Trump you’ll know exactly why Trump has no words of praise.
McCain was an actual Democrat in a Republican seat. He was not a peacemaker, he was not a compromiser, he was not a maverick. He was a traitor who worked for the left.
He hated people like me, and the feeling was mutual.
I hope Lyin Johnny made peace with God and found salvation through Jesus Christ.

I thought Trump’s tweet was spot on. No phony crocodile tears but stating his prayers to the family.
I think McCain, though flawed, was a good man and father. But he was not a friend to conservatives and as a politician, he stabbed conservatives in the back all the time and seemed to enjoy it.
Songbird died yesterday, so I don’t feel the need to hold my tongue (keyboard) and be polite. McCain was a petty jerk and helped destroy this country by getting Obama elected and turning the Democrat party over to Soros thanks to McCain/Feingold. George Soros was able to buy the Democratic party relatively cheap becaue of the limitation on contributions from that bill.
