Dear Priests, Deacons, Religious and all Holy Faithful of the Diocese of Tyler,
A letter (see below) by Archbishop Vigano, former Nuncio to the United States, raises grave allegations and calls for the resignation of numerous high ranking prelates including Pope Francis.
Let us be clear that they are still allegations but as your shepherd I find them to be credible. Using this standard the response must be a thorough investigation similar to those conducted any time allegations are deemed to be credible. I do not have the authority to launch such an investigation but I will lend my voice in whatever way necessary to call for this investigation and urge that its findings demand accountability of all found to be culpable even at the highest levels of the Church.
As this unfolds I urge all in the Diocese of Tyler to pray fervently for Holy Mother Church and beg the Intercession of Our Blessed Mother. We are the flock of Jesus Christ. He is Lord of His Church and His Holy Spirit will guide us through this darkness.
Almighty God Father, Son and Spirit have mercy on your Church and cleanse her in the fires of your Love.
Blessed Virgin Mary, Pray for us All Sainted Popes & Bishops in Heaven, Pray for us All Holy Men and Women, Pray for us
I direct all priests to include this notice in the masses on August 26, and post it on their websites and other social media immediately.
Most Reverend Joseph E. Strickland Bishop of Tyler
DANGUS NOTES:
Abp Vigano has provided documentation that he warned Pope Francis that Cdl McCarrick was a predator. He claims that Pope Benedict had quietly removed McCarrick from public ministry (why quietly? Did he believe the accusations were credible but unproven?), but Francis not only rehabilitated McCarrick, but basically allowed him to rebuild a network of homosexual predators and enablers, including Cdl. Blase Cupich of Chicago. Also, that when Pope Francis found Vigano believed that Cdl. Wuerl was part of the problem, he sidelined Vigano and essentially made Honduran Cdl. Maradiago the bishop-maker of the U.S.
Maradiago is a leftist living the high life of opulence in a desperately poor nation. Pope Francis has canned a prominent bishop of wealthy Germany for less. More to the point, Maradiago has been charged with enabling a seminary in Honduras that is rife with homosexual predation.
As a leftist apologist for liberation theology, Maradiago is precisely the sort of character that those conservatives who supported Francis thought that Francis would adeptly suppress.
Vigano did not quash Nienstedt investigation
Pull quotes from Abp. Vigano's August 26 statement:
I never told anyone that Greene Espel [a law firm conducting the investigation] should stop the [Nienstedt] inquiry, and I never ordered any document to be destroyed. Any statement to the contrary is false, he added. However, I did instruct one of the auxiliary bishops, Lee A. Piche, to remove from the computer and the archdiocesan archives the letter falsely asserting that I had suggested the investigation be halted. I insisted on this not only to protect my name, but also that of the nunciature and the Holy Father who would be unnecessarily harmed by having a false statement used against the church.

I favor a more Jesus-y approach: millstone-—>deep blue sea.
“I dont think the U.S. can subpoena the Pope.”
The US can subpoena, but getting our hands on him is another matter.
Could a Pope survive in office if he was under a US subpoena for criminal charges?
There are other things that could be done to bring pressure. State RICO suits against dioceses. Congressional hearings for the world to see. More arrests of individuals.
For instance: Can a diocese maintain the IRS religious exemption if it is declared a criminal enterprise under RICO?
Secular law can be applied. It is another pressure point. And it may cause many to ask...How much longer can we suffer this Pope and these Cardinals?

Yes, that’s what surprisingly didn’t work. But also, I had had to add all the paragraph breaks to the original, since they didn’t copy out of the Scribd file.
This is why I favor severe measures taken against actual offenders (both perps and their protectors) rather than the liquidation or forfeiture of the whole Catholic People's material patrimony.
If St. Brigid's ends up sold for a restaurant, Sacred Heart a condominium, and Holy Cross --- with all its crosses smashed --- a mosque, that would not actually make individual criminal prelates suffer.
They would pay it all off by fleecing, skinning, and butchering us: the flock. And I'm betting their retirement investments would mysteriously survive.
“that would not actually make individual criminal prelates suffer”
The moral imperative has had no effect. It is obvious to the most casual observer it will have no effect.
Material and secular legal pressure is the only recourse remaining.
Thank you. Got it.
BYE BYE BERGOGLIO!!
Can the Catholic Church be singled out for rigorous investigation if no other denominations are exposed to similar scrutiny?
Thank you; I’ve seen some updates to that effect as well.
Thank you for that reference to Mother Mary. She is busy.
“Can the Catholic Church be singled out for rigorous investigation if no other denominations are exposed to similar scrutiny?”
No other denominations have demonstrated themselves as widely and deeply criminal. And I am talking about the institution as now composed.
However, I would support the same legal scrutiny to any other denomination that shows us 1/10th the criminality.
And any other religions too. In fact, it is likely time for a much closer look at Islamic centers in America...where crime can be shown.
The organization is the people who run it.
If all of these crimes were truly committed by parish priests and nobody in the hierarchy ever covered/complied, I would say the organization should be off limits. But that is not the case, and you know that.
In the case of the Catholic Church we are not talking about financial malfeasance, or the trading of insider favors, and undo political/legal influence.
We are talking about a criminal conspiracy to groom and rape young boys, and to use positions of power/authority to extort young men for sex. These are heinous crimes which we in the secular world have great stake in as well.
These crimes are not just a Catholic problem, they are a problem so pervasive that the greater society has a major stake in eliminating them.

For a queer, being a priest is the best career choice. Many of his colleagues are also queer and the job comes with free alterboys by the dozen
You are right about the heinousness of sodomitical vice. Unfortunately “heterosexuals” too, have become deeply attached to sodom-like vice, turning away from natural sex and preferring variants which are sterile, degrading, and/or biological nonsense.
