John McCain, the longtime senator and 2008 GOP presidential candidate who refused to leave fellow prisoners of war behind to escape years of torture in Vietnam, and whose maverick streak as Arizona’s senior statesman at times frustrated fellow Republicans and confounded President Donald Trump, has died, his family confirmed in a statement Saturday.
He was 81and had been diagnosed with brain cancer in July 2017.
McCain had decided to discontinue medical treatment for the glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, his family announced on Aug. 24. He had surpassed expectations for his survival, but "the progress of disease and the inexorable advance of age render their verdict," the statement said.

Seems folks here are being pretty restrained, all things considered. John McCain hated people like me. Best buds with Teddy Kennedy and total contempt for conservatives and Christians. I hope he repented before he died, but I won’t mourn the passing of a vicious liar and fraud.
He should have first alked to all the people he screwed over throughout the years...then he should have talked to God.

Actually, McCain's replacement will be able to vote on the confirmation and I seriously doubt that whoever it is will vote no. This gives Trump more if a margin. Even Flake has committed to voting for Kavanaugh.
It’s sad, well McCain wouldn’t care anyways and looks down on us anyways. But, he is in the company of Sadaam and Osama of people who are joyful of his passing.

You're right. My sister had lung cancer. Entered hospice care on July 1, 2011. By the last week of August, she was comatose and died on her birthday, September 2nd. Hadn't been taking nourishment or fluids of any kind for over a week before she passed.

Oh for God’s sake. The moaning and wailing from “conservatives” about people saying mean things about this creep. My 32 year old son is a down and dirty Marine grunt who was 20 years old when he was in the 2/2 Marines in Iraq. He himself would say he is no hero and he sure as hell wouldn’t make some dirty bank deal as a senator and be such a douchebag as McCain was. The big deal that has always been made about this pig has always made me sick. This country is screwed. We’re all so “sensitive”. He treated President Trump like crap and he can suck it as far as I’m, concerned.
