It will never be said that I went down without a fight, as I stood on a street corner for nearly a year, with about 200-500 others, protesting DeathCare. We’d go every Friday after work, to stand in front of Gabby Giffords office. I’ve also built walls on the border and many, many other things. Most people will not even bother to show up even once, always claiming “work” or “family” or something.
My parents escaped from a Communist country, only to see this one reverting to one over the last 50 years.
I have zero hope that the public will EVER actually stand up and do something. We’re already a banana republic/no law and order for political class/surveillance police/military state for the peons. And don’t get me started about the blood on the hands of those who never protested abortion, endless wars and genocides, toxins in our water and food supply, etc. THEY are the ones who let this happen.
You’re correct to view the Right’s previous inability to get in the street and wonder what is different now. I’d offer that the difference now is that we have a leader in Trump, rather than Beck or Bachmann. Furthermore, most now realize we’re out of time. Should the Left seize power, it’s game, set and match. Like DJT we’re fighting for our freedom, families and nation. This isn’t a fight I want, but everything is on the line. I couldn’t sit by idly knowing how my children & grandchildren would be treated under socialism.
