Michael Hayden Warns: Impeachment Would Be Viewed as ‘Soft Coup’
Big Government ^ | 8/24/18 | Joshua Caplan

Michael Hayden, the former director of the National Security Agency (NSA), warned Thursday that impeaching President Donald Trump would have unintended consequences and could further delegitimize the intelligence community.

Hayden, a frequent critic of President Trump, told Hill.TV’s Krystal Ball and Buck Sexton that he believes “impeachment would be a bad idea.”

“If President Trump is somehow forced to leave office before the end of his first term, one-third of America will believe it was a soft coup conducted by people, well frankly like everybody here at the table would be their view,” Hayden said. “I think the only way we move beyond this in any way that’s healthy for our democracy is we vote,” the Obama-era intelligence official added.

Oh...you can be 100% certain that if the Democrats choose to impeach POTUS, Donald J. Trump, there will indeed be a violent “Civil War II” which will be a mortal blow to the survival of the USA as a nation republic.

I'm sorry but that's just not correct.

Impeachment is a political process, not judicial. The Founding Fathers knew this.

“As it is conservatives, libertarians, etc. are being completely removed from having any sort of digital life. Not just Twitter or Youtube but banking and financial services.”

Blockchain financial systems are already up and operating to bypass traditional banks and their services. Businesses will also operate through blockchains.

Look, I've been looking at this issue for years.

There are two possibilities (as regards civil conflict).

If Trump is impeached and removed from office, presuming that there are 218 legitimate votes in the House to send articles to the Senate, and 67 validly electing sitting US Senators vote to convict, then, Mike Pence is sworn in, Mattis remains as SECDEF, the Joint Chiefs all support Pence and Mattis, and therefore the chain of command remains intact.

Under those circumstances, I believe that commissioned officers will follow orders transmitted through the chain of command and their troops will follow their officers.

And if armed civilians rise in rebellion, I believe they will be slaughtered. Easily.

The second possibility is a non-legal or extra-legal removal of the President, with him surviving (a coup). This is a distinct possibility. The Acting President (I presume Pence) would appoint a new SECDEF, and then you would have the situation which existed in April 1861, with commanders choosing sides and armies in the field.

In that case, all bets are off.

Soft coup?

As opposed to removing President Trump at gunpoint (e.g., a military coup).

...because political processes worked so well in the run up to the first civil war.

Sometimes political processes are taken over and controlled by those - in this case a government class - who care not what the people want. It is in those times that political processes fail utterly and completely. Jefferson wrote extensively about this....watering the tree of liberty.

Not that this will occur in this case. Wiser heads that understand how pressing a minority viewpoint to such lengths can lead to their own destruction will surely control the rabid dogs of the DNC media. But trusting in political processes to always prevail is not supported by the long, sordid history of human civilization.

I think that he realizes that there is a greater than 95% chance that CW2 is EXACTLY what would happen if Trump were removed via ANY means prior to the end of his term - and that the likely outcome of that CW2 would be a whole lot of Gov’t officials from the past 20 years (from BOTH parties) winding up having their day at the gallows or guillotine.

Hayden is trying to get through the Trump Derangement Syndrome the Democrats and Liberals generally have. All they can think about is getting Trump out of office, one way or the other. Hayden is trying to show them that what would happen to them would be far worse than for them to suffer through a Trump Presidency. He has his work cut out for him.

All though blood soaked, I think it would be a new beginning of freedom and STRONGER republic in the end.

You haven’t looked hard enough.

Answer the question: What makes you think Marines are going to march out and kill their families? Do you think Marines are the second coming of the Nazi gestapo?

And tanks, and A-10s, and USMC rifle companies.

Not enough to make a difference, not even a little difference.

😀

We have plenty of those too.

My 90 year old neighbor across the street is a WWII/Korea combat infantry vet with a CCL.

Jim,

The standing army is minuscule and insignificant and in a general civil war/insurrection context. Size matters. There are not enough in the armed force(minus dissenters) to secure NY and DC let alone THE ENTIRE USA.

Signed,

And tanks, and A-10s, and USMC rifle companies.

If there is a Second Civil War, the military would likely splinter three ways: some would side with Liberals, some with us, and some would desert the military.

He gives the media much too much credit for the percentage of the populace they have tainted and attitudes fouled. Most folks wouldn’t notice any difference in how the country runs anyway.

To them, they gladly work together moving forward for the ‘cause’. To the plantation masters, its all just part of the total control agenda they seek to impose on us all.

The dangers they subject the nation to do not matter to them. They feel no pain, have no shame.. and only balme others when they are revealed for what they are.

Mathematically impossible.

Do you know how many tanks and attack aircraft are operated by all the armed services? Take that number and divide it into 320 million and get back to me. It would take 10 divisions plus support to clamp down on ONE state in rebellion let alone 50!

Been thinking. And since FR is probably being checked on and monitored by the powers that be... We need to keep this in mind when we are discussing these topics.

Anyway, here goes...

One could embed encrypted information within a transmission. I have heard that it is not as easy to do it with HAM radio. But it can be done. Remember that the old style xbaud modems used the audio/telephone lines to send lots of data. There is usually a limitation. If you could do this without being detected, then it might be a way to preserve communication. No doubt, there would still be some form of communication.

You might be able intercept communication and rebroadcast with the embedded messages without anyone knowing? People are smart, though.

Anyway, the first to go would be the HAM radio operators as well as the news agencies, and any other forms of unapproved communication.

It is awful to think of a time when we would have to do this. HOWEVER, we are in good company with the founders of this great country who created the 1st and 2nd amendments for this very same reason. No, the right of the legal citizen to own weapons is not for hunting purposes.

Our founders were smart and had a valid concern about too much power within the government.

To: plain talk

If Trump was removed from office, the Senate would also vote to ban him from holding any federal office (Article I, Section 3, Clause 7). So that meme, while funny, is wrong.
