Could someone enlighten me where in the Constitution is Congress granted the authority to regulate the process by which State Legislatures appoint their Electors for President and Vice President?
Article I §4 clearly grants Congress the authority to regulate elections for representatives and Senators.
But there is no corresponding grant of authority over State Legislatures’ processes and rules for chusing Electors.
Where is there authority in the Constitution for a “Federal Elections Commission” to exercise any power whatsoever over the methods by which State Legislatures (indirectly) choose the President?
And the defendant and his lawyers are in on it. The media is in on it.
Unprecedented.
And here we sit doing nothing.
It doesn’t matter to the left how they take him out, they will no matter what.
Considering how the Mueller investigation is a “poisoned tree” (original reasons for it were fabricated) I still don’t see how anybody should be getting indicted for anything. Their cases should be thrown out.
I’m not a lawyer, maybe somebody can explain this to me? It’s my understanding that if there’s false reasons to investigate, and during the investigation wrongdoing was found for something completely unrelated, the case is invalid due to the false reasons for the investigation in the first place.
