The case that the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York has made is that the payment of hush money to stop two women from going public with potentially damaging information during campaign season is an illegal campaign contribution. By pleading guilty, Cohen has agreed with that assessment.
As for impeachment, I thought the president couldn't be impeached for something that happened before he got into office.
Trump's team should drive home that Lanny Davis is a dem hack whose sole goal is to get Trump. He has obviously sacrificed his own client to go after Trump. To get his client to accept a plea deal in which he serves time for a campaign finance violation, among other things, seems so wrong.
Stay on the economy, all the good that he has brought and the ultimate goal to make America great again and keep America great again.
I believe Trump will fight harder than ever to get Republicans elected. Patriots have to get out and vote. And pray, pray, pray.
I see.
well then, its long past time for PDJT to wake up, take charge, and terminate the Sessions/Rostenstein/Mueller fiasco
what many good folks don’t fully understand is just how much damage a malicious or politically-driven investigation or prosecution can do to....even completely innocent person(s)
Who’s campaign was Cohen part of ? LOL
The She did just as bad and worse argument will not get us very far.
What I don’t understand is why did Cohen pay off these women? Trump was attacked the entire time of the campaign and yet he survived and won. Nobody would have cared about these women.
The media framed it that way; but it was to be a salary for her to work in one of the PACs. She called it hush money because she is a stone cold traitor.
Jill Stein’s...yeah it was Jill Stein’s.
“Now, Cohen has pled guilty to a felony campaign finance violation at the direction of the candidate.”
I don’t see where this would be a campaign
finance violation when Trump could easily
write a check from his own account to
make these two payments. Unless Cohen wrote
the checks from Trump’s campaign
then Trump later reimbursed the campaign.
In the next life.
They didn’t impeach Clinton. They sure better not impeach Trump.
They impeached Clinton. The House impeaches and the Senate decides on punishment through a trial. Clinton was impeached but not thrown out of office. Clinton was impeached on December 19, 1998 by the House of Representatives. The Senate found him not guilty and the result was an acquittal. A President can be impeached but not removed from office based on the resulting trial in the Senate.
Believe me, these people don’t care. They want Trump’s hide for anything they can hang their hat on.
See tagline.
Since when do they care how stupid they look? They do that every day anyway. They just care that they impeach him.

Interestingly, it seems that Cohen actually vindicates Trump here because he acknowledges that HE made the payments. I don’t think these would constitute “campaign contributions” by any stretch if they had been made by Trump.
The 2018 midterms will be the single most pivotal point in our country's history save perhaps for the CW era.
Levin will be very good tonight.

On Hannity?
Is this all Mueller and his Clintoonoids can come up with? A little wimpy, New Yawk lawyer in a sh*tty diaper? Two problems. 1. Cohen is a lawyer. 2. Cohen is a lying lawyer. Sorry Bobby. You lose. Zero credibility. Cohen is just trying to stay out of prison.
Complaining about bad advisors and realistically getting some good ones who want to be dragged through the Swamp Slime, are two different stories.
