I put cell phones and Facebook at the top of the list of "causes". Would love to have a real clinical psychologist comment about this fly-off-the-handle phenom. Rooster, any lectures you've seen discuss this?
Facebook destroys true community fellowship but substituting its own fake communities built on yellow journalism and hysteria. After a while, you begin to imagine that America is only what's inside your little thumb-flipping screen.
Reading a 1940s book by Normal Vince Peale and his theory is that a lack of religion and faith in people's lives contributes to human instability. I think he's got a good point.
Many people who've "found God" make a similar point that they found serenity in their lives and that they felt "centered."
It seems that Liberals have, for the most part, become Post-Modernists who believe that reality is what they they want it to be...not what it actually is. That leads them to believe that Truth and morality are also what they want it to be.
Of course any sane person knows that is absolute rubbish.
But the Post-Modernists live in echo chambers that tell them to ignore all voices that challenge their beliefs. They have this drilled into them in schools and colleges and then the media and their friends help them create a bubble in which they can continue to believe this baloney.
They put their ideology ahead of the truth.
They are delicate because they have little or no connection to reality.
So when they encounter something--anything--that hints that they are on the wrong track, they panic.
Libs are so unplugged from reality that if they actually learned of their predicament, they would be shattered.
Given that, any hint that they are actually living in a parallel universe is an existential threat.
That's why to them, Trump and we deplorables are not just misguided, we are insane.
I think somewhere deep down they realize that if their version of reality is to continue, they will have to "get rid" of the President and his supporters.
We are living in truly dangerous times.
