In January, Mehta concurred with the FBIs decision to not disclose the existence of any records containing the agencys efforts to verify the dossier. He ruled that Trumps tweets about the dossier didnt require the FBI and other intelligence agencies to act on records requests.
But then the ground shifted, writes Mehta of Trump declassifying the House memos. As a result of the Nunes and Schiff Memos, there is now in the public domain meaningful information about how the FBI acquired the Dossier and how the agency used it to investigate Russian meddling.
It remains no longer logical nor plausible for the FBI to maintain that it cannot confirm nor deny the existence of documents, Mehta wrote.
It is simply not plausible to believe that, to whatever extent the FBI has made efforts to verify Steeles reporting, some portion of that work has not been devoted to allegations that made their way into the synopsis. After all, if the reporting was important enough to brief the President-elect, then surely the FBI thought enough of those key charges to attempt to verify their accuracy, he continued.
WHAT THIS MEANS
To make a long story short, the FBI must show what they did to verify the claims contained within the Nunes and Schiff memos.
The information about this ruling showed up on Politicos, Under the Radar, and it is a big deal.
It wont go into effect immediately because the case was on appeal to the D.C. Circuit when Trump approved the release of the House memos. The appeals court is now likely to remand the case to Mehta to determine whether the FBI has other grounds to withhold records about verifying the dossier.

If they told us, they’d have to kill us.
Don’t forget McCain...he’s just as dirty in this mess as Reid.

The one good thing about the old patronage system was that the Stygian Stables were occasionally flushed.

Deceitful back stabbing egotistical bastard. I would rather forget him.
Right. The sole objective of the dossier and the secret FISA warrant it spawned, was to create a "legal" excuse to collect electronic intelligence on Trump and his campaign. Full surveillance on Page enables the option of full surveillance on his contacts. He was obviously at various times in contact with Trump and members of his campaign staff.
The FBI leadership had no interest in surveilling Page himself - in fact he was probably working UC for them.
Sooner or later, they’ll be clapped in irons. Let’s see them ignore that.

Many do but then what of do you ask? Is it sacrifice for the Tree of Liberty enmase as executioners until caught those who have and are quilty of trespass...
It looks like Trump is doing what I hoped he would. Give’m Rope a Dope for the Enemy to punch itself out, then right before the election a flurry of body shots.
More and more of these lies are coming out and every one has shown what Trump’s/America’s enemies have been doing.
Teddy went up against some Big Boys. Big enough to refuse the GOP nomination to a sitting president.
Trump has many of his qualities: garrulous, a fighter unafraid of anyone, adventurous.
This is not helping the Demons no matter how you slice it.
They have never been flushed in Chicago and they stink. Like the great philosopher Paddie Bauler said “this city ain’t ready for reform.”
If Trump/Hercules wants a real fight he should go after the Machine, that will be a knock-down drag-out since Mob/Machine has held power since Capone and has a near-perfect understanding of corruption and villainy.
There have been Mob Rubouts of at least one Mayor, several Aldermen, Reporters etc. There were 1000 unsolved murders (clearly hits) by the middle sixties. There must be at least 2000 by now.
For the whole sad story see: “Captive City” by Ovid Demaris.
It is much worse than you can imagine.
