If you want to avoid wars, you must show enemy how big and strong you are. A national military parade will make news world wide. Local parades will not cut the mustard.

Golly Gosh, just like Russia, China, North Korea? We don’t have to saber rattle at home, we spend enough blood, lives and money doing that across the world.
True this. Not only to show strength,
but readiness and reaction times. This
parade will be no small task logistics
wise. The saving grace is the number
of the different military branches
that are located near the DC area.
Can’t help but think also, Trump
saw what N. Korea put forth in
their show of force. The US can
easily dwarf that display, while
at the same time, instill a great
sense of patriotism and pride that
some would think no longer exists.
