CNN’s competitors, Fox News and MSNBC, defeated CNN handily in the ratings war this week. Fox News took the number one slot for primetime viewership at 2.18 million viewers, and MSNBC came in second with 1.75 million viewers.
CNN finished in a distant seventh place, attracting 992,000 average viewers and falling behind HGTV, USA, the History Channel, and TBS in the weekly ratings.
The primetime lineup for the History Channel includes the show Ancient Aliens, a show which delves into the conspiracy theories behind aliens, while CNN’s lineup features hosts Anderson Cooper and Chris Cuomo. The History Channel had 1.06 million viewers in primetime this week.
The network did not fare much better in the ratings for its daytime programming. CNN finished in sixth place, lagging behind Fox News, HGTV, Nickelodeon, MSNBC, and Investigation Discovery.

I’m not surprised at it happening, just that it took so long for the public to get sick of the doom and gloom reporting, to include over the top stuff, that is a required reading assignment by the people at CNN. CNN is owned by A & E Networks which is a joint venture by Hearst Communications and Disney. These are two very lib strong companies that go over the top in their efforts to hide their socialism.

Yes, I’m pretty sure that the only people who watch or click CNN are conservatives looking for whatever dose of idiocy they’re spouting there, so we can complain about it. Maybe we should knock it off like the rest of humanity.

Fox is the only choice for news on the Right.
The Left has two choices. CNN and MSNBC.
Add CNN and MSNBC viewer together you get 2,742,000 outstripping FOX by 562,000 viewers.
Not a pleasant way to look at it but that is the way it is.

If you look at trends, Fox News, while leading the other networks, was down almost 2 to 1 if you added the liberal networks together, just a couple of years back. They are much closer now.
Add FBN to Fox News numbers, and it is even closer.
No matter how you spin it, a major cable news outlet getting beat by Ancient Aliens is pitiful. Serious management change is overdue at CNN.
When I retire I want to be an Ancient Alien expert. There must be such a thing because those programs are peppered with lines like “Ancient Alien specialists agree ..., and Experts suggest ..., and Ancient Alien experts say Yes...” So, I could just sit around all day suggesting and agreeing to all sorts of ridiculous things and get paid.

I don’t know why all we do is comment on what the 10% TV audience hears from them.
Rush, Hannity, et al should be LEADING the news cycle.
The only one doing it is Hannity- with ONE major investigative reporter- Sarah Carter.
Which one is more credible and bases his theories on at least some real facts? The talking head appropriately placed on the left pulls more “facts” out of his ass than the one with the bad hair on the right. Ancient aliens are more believable than what comes from the fascist bullshit artist on the left.
