Trump campaign advisers have denied the conversations Omarosa Manigault Newman claims occurred in a recording she released to CBS News.
The former White House aide claimed campaign staffers in a phone call in 2016 discussed a tape of Donald Trump using the n-word, CBS News reported.
Manigault Newman’s claims appeared to be supported by the tape she released early Tuesday to CBS News.
Trump campaign staffers Katrina Pierson, Jason Miller and Lynn Patton apparently were discussing how to handle the potential release of a recording of Trump during his time on “The Apprentice” using the N-word.
Trump denied that he ever used the word which he said is not in his vocabulary.
Appearing on Fox News, Pierson denied the call ever took place, calling Manigault Newman’s claims an “absolute lie.”
“She’s just trying to cover up for her own issues,” the former Trump campaign spokeswoman said.
In the tape released to CBS News, however, it seems Pierson can be heard saying of Trump: “He said it. No he said it. He’s embarrassed.”
“No one doubted that he said it,” Manigault Newman said on CBS This Morning. “They had worked to try to suppress this tape for so long.”
CBS host Gayle King seemed to push Manigault Newman on the release of the recording.
“It almost feels like a form of blackmail with the tapes,” she told the former “Apprentice” star.
“So let’s say the tape exists, now what?” King asked, referring to the actual recording of Trump using the n-word. “What is the purpose of…what do you hope will come out of this?”
Manigault Newman hoped it would “expose him for the racist that he is.”

Pierson flatly denies that this fake tape ever existed, comments here are out of context - sounds perfect for fake news to run with this fake story.

No one has the “tape,” but everyone is talking about it? And she records a tape of people talking about this “tape?”
The Left thinks they are creating interest by dragging out the playing of the tape, but what they are doing is making President Trump immune to it because people are pricing in the effect of the tapes.
Since the recording doesn’t expressly say what they are talking about, it could be referred to anything. It’s like recording someone saying, “Yes, I did it” and then inferring that it is a confession to a murder.
This whole thing about Trump being racist from her is just so crazy. She was on two seasons of the show and hired by him. Ben Carson is also working for Trump.
There is no credibility with her smear.
They are talking about “a tape”. Which tape they are talking about is conjecture as nowhere in the recording does it say what the tape contains. For all we know they could be talking about the “Grabbing her by the pussy” tape.

Yep, that's the contortions the media will go thru to spread fake lies. Sheesh, the talk of the "tape" is so out of context, frankly it sounds more like he's embarrassed about spilling Russian dressing on his new suit.

Again - if this tape existed it would have been outed before the election.
Does anyone doubt - with how devious and cutthroat the Clintons are - that they would have made SURE that they got it? They would have paid whatever it took to get it.
None of this passes the smell test. Until shown otherwise, this is as fake as the “pee tape.”

Why isn’t there a multi-million $ lawsuit being filed against the witch for TAPING conversations without the knowledge or approval of the persons involved? The last I heard, it was against the law to tape somebody ILLEGALLY.
Could they have been talking about the Access Hollywood tape?

Trump should never have allowed that bitch anywhere near the White House. People can try to spin this as some kind of strategic gambit, but I doubt it... he hired her as a gesture of kindness and should’ve steered clear of her.
Trump actually owns all of the footage of the Apprentice (remember when they tried to get cutting room floor tapes during the campaign?) so this is ENTIRELY a moot unless they expect him to release it himself.
