This is a dangerous precedent that can be used against any ideology, left or right
Across the board in what appears to be a highly-coordinated effort to silence the message behind Infowars and Alex Jones, most major social media, backbone utilities associated with our web site and video platforms have launched unprecedented account bans and suspensions on virtually all of our channels.
Regardless of what you think of me, and what you have heard indirectly through third-party sources, you are clearly witnessing a 21st century purge of an ideology.
And even if you dont agree with our message that everyone should exercise their right to question the status quo, you should be very concerned about whats happening.
Because this ideology that is now under attack is the same ideology that played a pivotal role in founding this great nation: challenging the establishment systems with independent ideas that encourage new debates and discussions.
For more than a year, we have witnessed the mainstream news media and Democratic groups tell us that the manipulation of social media could turn an election.
By their own admission, social media would be the most viable option to alter the course of the nation, influence millions of people, and shut down free speech and personal expression that questions the status quo.
We have been told that one of the greatest threats to our democracy is the manipulation of the information that we receive on social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.
Now, these same groups that have been telling us that free speech must be defended against those who seek to control it on our news feeds, have launched a full-scale war on the free speech and information that they disagree with.
There is no question that large social media companies have become the nations premiere source of information, referring hundreds of millions to news and information.
Although these groups are private entities, their scale has achieved them a monopoly on the free flow of information.
Much like the FCC rules that the airwaves and cable should be equally accessible to all in the public trust, these modes of communication should be equally open to the same access, and not subject to control by those who may choose to disagree with the information itself. Is a different opinion enough to silence an entire ideology?
I do not claim to always be right. But the accusations leveled at me are distortions of the truth and have been used systematically to impeach my character.
But this coordinated action by the establishment to silence me has only awakened a new resolve in those who now see more clearly than ever how the establishment systems will go to any length to shut down free speech and information that questions the status quo.
This is a turning point for our nation. Will you rally behind the principles of free speech, or will you concede to having your ability to access new ideas and information restricted and controlled by those who believe you cannot think for yourself?
If we allow this level of censorship to continue, how long before it becomes normalized?
How long before its not Alex Jones and Infowars being shut down on major platforms, but any ideology that disagrees with the establishment status quo? We must rally behind the principles that founded this great nation, and not allow deep censorship to become normalized and accepted.
Good call
Thanks Jim for posting this and allowing Infowars back on Free Republic.
Infowars are real Patriots and HUGE President Trump supporters.
I suspect some Infowars staff are Freepers because a lot of what is on Free Republic is covered almost immediately on Infowars compared to other national talk shows.
Patronize other platforms.
There may be an anti-trust angle, but would it be any less applicable to Freep? Leftist viewpoints are shut out over here, and we make no bones about it. And a good thing, too.
The only thing I see facebook and twitter doing that is not within the purview of their free speech and property rights is that they falsely advertise their forum as an open one, when in fact it’s a purely leftard forum, no right wingers need apply. But I reiterate, there are other forums. If they won’t allow our viewpoint a voice on their forum, the thing to do is either patronize another, or form our own, either an exclusive one like freep, or a truly open one.
In one case (Facebook I think), they took some down and left some up. Obviously they want to hobble him, and will apply their standards subjectively.
Please show how.
It is a mistake to think these companies are not used and funded by the Deep State.
Thank you Jim. While Alex Jones is not one I typically follow, you are correct, if we don’t stand against this violation of free speech we can expect no defense when they come for us. God Bless you and your family.
Hi Jim,
Just a bit about Alex Jones from the Perspective of having met Him during the Sore Loserman days. I lived near Austin, Texas and went to march on the Capital in Austin that Id heard about. When I got to the starting location there was a group of about 75 or so and a guy with a bullhorn, I didnt know at the time it was Alex. He told Us its time to go and We started moving towards the Capital repeating several different chants like Get out of Our Whitehouse, We won, gore lost and a few others I cannot remember anymore. It was to the point but short and was being heard by many people as We passed by. Amazingly some bystanders even joined up with Us. And remember that Austin was then a medium sized commieratlib hellhole and getting worse everyday. We spent about an hour at the gates of the Capital grounds as We didnt have a permit for being on the Capital grounds. There were 1 or 2 local tv snewz camera teams that interviewed Alex and several of Us and of course what We said was chopped and remixed to fit the commieratlib agenda when it was shown that night with the exception of getting a few of Our names correct...
Afterwards We All went to a restaurant and bar for a while to talk and just kinda get to know some of the other people. Turns out most of the People that joined up with the group were from out of town and even a few out of state folks which made sense because most people in downtown Austin are the local commieratlibs. All was peaceful it the establishment while We were there.
I did talk with Alex for a few minutes and then I had to go to a meeting elsewhere and left. While He most definitely has His opinions and is a bit brash at times, well make that most of the time. But when it came down to brass tacks everyone was on the same page.
A few years later I needed some legal advice and help. I remembered having a Business Card He gave Me and it had a phone number for free Legal help so I called it and talked with a Lady. She was fairly close to Me and I went to meet with Her and it went very well. She typed up 2 letters for My Situation and gave Me copies then mailed out the originals for Me. She even followed up with Me to make sure all went well and it did. All for Free.
Just thought I would put in My $0.02 worth.
Thank You for having FR available.
Just like commie ussr did.
More Crap out of mien kamph and stalinville.
History repeats itself and the younger generations are not taught REAL HISTORY anymore.
Thanks. I think I accomplished it, will have to wait and see for sure.
Just wait till they start taking away Our E-Mails...
The difference is Jim bans leftists by his own decision. He doesn’t conspire with other conservative sites to ban someone.
If Jim controlled 98% of ALL INFORMATION SHARED IN THE WORLD, then yes, it would be virtual information UTILITY.
(Google/Youtube + FB + Twitter etc.)
If Jim controlled 98% of the DRINKING WATER IN THE WORLD, I would be against him charging $1,000 a gallon for his enemies and one cent a gallon for his friends.
Even though it was a “private business.”
Is this really a hard concept to understand, an information monopoly that is heavily slanted against conservatives?
I would too but what I'm asking is what's the standard that lets the government force him to lower his price.

I'm on FB maybe once a month. Somehow I manage to get information anyway.
The real issue is people want to continue to make money by publishing their information - for free - on someone else's platform and when they get cut off they cry censorship.
it’s coming
Thank you good sir.
You are either a sub-moron, or you just enjoy trolling while appearing obtuse: in either case, it’s a waste of my time to interact with you.
I'm not sure about the sub-moron part but I know I'm not trolling or being intentionally obtuse.
What's the (Constitutional) principle that says I have to give up my rights as to who can use my property just because it's wildly popular?
My other point was that FB, Twitter, et al. obviously don't hold a monopoly on information.
