Neither of the articles I read made it clear if he was attacked because he is Republican or because he was wearing a turban.

While the hoodies do make it sound like they were "Antifa" it could have been random thugs, even 'right wingers, who aren't bright enough to know the difference between Sikh and Muzzie.

Sikhs are a wonderful people, and an asset and credit to any community. Most of my Sikh friends don’t have beards or wear turbans, and only cover their heads in their temples (Gurdwaras).

I will also speculate that very few Sikhs are Republicans.

There are lots of polls on Asian-Indian Americans - they vote 75% to 80% for the Democrat Party - but those polls don't separate Hindus from Sikhs.
