Yep. You’ve exposed the human condition and what happens when, at the end of the day, not all that many human beings are willing to sacrifice their comfort.
i drove a 18 wheeler all ouer north america 15 million miles in 30 years inculeding wyoming i have met my share of cops but never a good one.
“The scheme particularly targeted the very low-income people who idiotically keep voting Democrat in Albuquerque and thereby keeping in power the very regime that abuses their rights and conspires to steal from them.”
This isn’t a partisan issue. There are plenty of Republican-led governments doing the exact same thing to abscond with the citizens’ property without due process. Greedy and lawless politicians unfortunately transcend party lines.
I’ve read horror stories about people having their life savings or money from their business taken. Just absolutely terrifying.
This is a big deal. Declaring that it’s wrong because they steal from you and then demand that you prove your innocence to get it back strikes at the heart of Civil Asset Theft. The lawyers say they’ll use this decision as precedent everywhere.
A county in Illinois (do I need to say that it was close to Chicago?) ran a similar scheme for while not too long ago. All out of state drivers, most pulled over for 2-4 MPH over in a 65 or 70 zone, all shook down for money or drugs or the car itself.
No he's not. He's a big fan of asset forfeiture.
“... small towns ripping people off in Georgia got so bad that they passed a law preventing small towns from writing tickets for going less than ten over.”
I recall that the Georgia State Patrol requires local LEOs who use radar guns limit ticketing to drivers going +10 MPH over the posted speed limit. Also, the GSP itself will not ticket drivers going less than 10 MPH over the limit. Finally, small towns in Georgia must not make more than a certain percentage (maybe 50% ?) of total town revenue from traffic tickets or they will have their radar certifications pulled. It was the last item that greatly reduced the number of small-town speed traps, but there are still a few notorious ones in existence.
60. He said he wasn’t allowed to campaign in Alaska and Hawaii, he’d been to 57 and had one left to go.
Only on odd days...

Been to 57, not allowed to go to Alaska nor Hawaii and 1 left to go.
Obama’s 60 states.
New Mexico. A beautiful state, but $h!thole politically.
Yeh BB!! Thx! ;-)
Jeffy will get right on that. =zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
We can no longer drive on major interstates without seeing the police/sheriffs/troopers lined up every ten miles, even when it’s not a holiday weekend. It won’t be long until TSA is lining the roads too, since no one cared that they started lining the airports, trains, and sporting events.
We avoid all armed fed goons, e.g. in the national parks. It’s just not a good idea to talk to any LEOs anymore. I wouldn’t call them for anything, especially after they gunned down one of my parents’ neighbors, a nice, young gentleman.
I carry in my car. I see the cops as “secretaries with guns”. There are two reasons for calling them:
1. I’m outgunned and it’s a semi-static situation.
2. The event is over and someone needs to take down names and collect evidence.
Ditto about carrying (we’re in AZ).
Those are good reasons that you listed. Tucson PD won’t come out anymore for anything, always whining about budget cuts, so there’s no point in calling them here. Well, they show up when they might get some action and get to kill a dog or a person.
Some of them commit armed robbery under color of law. The rest conspire with them to cover up the crimes. It's called "aiding and abetting", and "accessory before and after the fact".
They ALL belong in prison.
Well, I have to agree. The APD is undeniably engaged in racketeering and larceny and like any other such criminal organization there are no innocents.
The worst of them committed the crimes and the least worst failed to do anything about it.
You’re correct that all of them utterly deserve to be in prison.
