Back in '63 I was stationed in SEA. I followed the "war" news as reported by the US media. I soon realized that in every incident that I knew something about, the reporting was simply WRONG. The same has held true since then. Whenever they report on something I know about, they get it badly wrong. I can only assume the same is true about those things about which I know nothing by which to judge the news.

You are absolutely NOT alone in this observation. Any time Big Media reports on a topic of which I have personal knowledge or professional expertise, they get critical aspects of it dead wrong. I therefore assume that they're always either lying about something, or abysmally ignorant.
