I wouldn’t mind more miles for the gas we use. Could care less about the fake environment nonsense, but to pay less at the pump is good for everyone.

I wouldn’t mind more miles for the gas we use.

The price winds up in cars that cost more and perform differently. CVT transmissions are miserable, but wind up in many cars due to the extra 1-2 mpg they give. Full-sized, naturally aspirated engines are giving way to more expensive turbos that don't give you power from the start. Some folks don't like replacing steel with aluminum in their trucks. These are all coming NOT because of market demand (though the marketers spin as best they can, out of necessity) but because of these regs.
