A top U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) official patiently explained to confused Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) during a Senate hearing Tuesday that illegal immigrants do, in fact, break U.S. laws when they enter the country illegally.
Would you send your child to the [family detention centers]? Hirono (pictured left above) asked ICEs Executive Associate Director for Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Matthew T. Albence during a hearing with the Senate Committee on the Judiciary.
Albence told Hirono, Again, I think were missing the point. These individuals are there because they have broken a law.
But Hirono interrupted, bizarrely insisting that the illegal immigrants being held in the detention centers have broken a law only as deemed so by President Donald Trump.
"No maam," Albence fired back. "They are there for violation of Title 8 of the U.S. Nationality Act. Okay. U.S.C. 1325. Thats illegal entry is both a criminal and civil violation. They are in those FRCs pending the outcome of that civil immigration process. They have broken the law. "

Sen. Mazie Hirono’s IQ is so low she uses it to make ice cubes.
The Democrats have no concern for violating every aspect of the Constitution, why would anyone think that they care about violating and statute in any way disagreeable to them just because it was passed by Congress at some point?
The law they obey is their feels. They feel therefore they should not have to obey; and, without a pause, they feel so we must comply to the nth degree.
The same people who once sang with gusto that “he can’t even run his own life, I’ll be damned if he’ll run mine” still in fact want no one and nothing to tell them how they can live ... even as they demand the unquestioned authority to tell everyone else how to live.
To be blunt: the Democrats are what one might expect if the inhabitants of Pointland suddenly found themselves in elected office in the 3D world.
It is not “confusion”, it is cognitive dissonance.
You can’t talk to Idiots because they’re Idiots
Hawaii will reelect her by 20 points when it’s her turn.
She represents the will of her constituency.
Don’t be surprised, she is simply vying for the “dumbest brick in the senate” title with Patty Murray. Patty already won the “ugliest brick” title.
The problem with America isn’t imbeciles like her holding office. The problem is the imbeciles who vote her into office. And she is a lead-pipe lock to stay there as long as she wants.
They must get really cheap airfares!!!
Cunning ...
She hates white people, but that is common among native Hawaiians. People can dispute that, but I have seen it up close and personal.
Sorry - shes ethnically Japanese.
“..Perhaps these elected office holders ought to have to pass our U.S. citizenship test prior to taking office!”
Great idea, and there has to be a test, or some means to insure these Senators, and Congress persons as they enter service to our country have read, and understand the Constitution of the United States of America.
the problem is, is that she’s dreaming of destroying the country.
Let’s cut this esteemed Senator some slack. Maybe the dark, dark hair dye she uses has seeped into her cranium. Along with some of those other worn out crones (both guys and gals) who are older than dirt and are coiffed, fluffed, and dyed. Most of them, in addition to being semi-literate, look like death eatin’ a hotdog.
Alice in wonderland, Alice in wonderland, paging Alice in wonderland....
IMHO
And that is the only reason Hawaii isn't overrun. They have the highest Welfare payout of any State. Much needed with the low IQ natives like this moron.
As a friend used to say, I can explain it to you. I cant understand it for you.
There’s an idea!
ICE should just put the illegals on a plane to Hawaii!
