The publisher of the New York Times said Sunday he “implored” President Donald Trump at a private White House meeting this month to reconsider his broad attacks on journalists, calling the president’s anti-press rhetoric “not just divisive but increasingly dangerous.”
In a statement, publisher A.G. Sulzberger said he decided to comment publicly after Trump revealed their off-the-record meeting to his more than 53 million Twitter followers on Sunday. Trump’s aides had requested that the July 20 meeting not be made public, Sulzberger said.

Sulzberger, who succeeded his father as publisher on Jan. 1, said his main purpose for accepting the meeting was to “raise concerns about the president’s deeply troubling anti-press rhetoric.”

This is really rich coming from the New York Times. Why don’t they start first by trying to publish the truth.

I’m afraid that Trump wasn’t the one, who let this particular genie out of the bottle in the first place, and it sure as hell isn’t his responsibility to try and put it back in.

The problem isn’t that the Times is not publishing the truth. The problem is, they see an entirely different truth. A capitalist looking at people sitting at benches assembling his product sees free labor that negotiated their wage on a take-it-or-leave-it basis. A communist looking at the same thing sees a poor, oppressed people forced into slavery by an unjust system. The Times sees, literally sees, a horrendous, fascist dictator who is oppressing them. No amount of explanation or exposition on the part of conservatives will change their opinion. They are immune to facts.
What is dangerous is the stranglehold the Ministry of Propaganda holds.
Hey Pinch. Try reporting the news accurately, and leave the Trump bashing to the Op/Ed page for starters.

It’s the corrupt press that’s troubling.
All they have to do is be accurate and fair. Otherwise, they are the enemy of the people.
Did the New York “SLIMES” stop to consider that possibly their virulent, lying, ANTI-TRUMP garbage is also divisive and dangerous? Obviously not!!!
Now matter what occurs the Fake News industry goes all out to find a way to criticize the President.
Record HIGH Employment means it is TRUMPS’s fault that the roads are clogged morning and evening with millions of cars bringing people to their jobs.
Trumps’ economy is causing lines in stores as people who have well paying jobs are lining up to spend their earnings. This causes MORE people to have jobs and Trumps has once again added to the morning and evening crush.
The Lame Media seems to believe that the American public is as poorly educated in the real world as the MEDIA really is.

They have this all backwards. It is the media attacking the President, 24/7, that is dividing the nation so badly. Trump may respond in kind, but he is not instigating it.
