I love edemame, but limit myself to one serving a month. Other than that no soy. I have to step carefully in the shower and no man boobs. Why do you think they call them soy boys?

Why?
Because soy kills testosterone.
Soy contains chemical compounds called isoflavones that resemble estrogen but don’t necessarily act in the same way in the body. This has lead to an idea that circulates that men should avoid soy. It’s complicated and like anything it’s best to do your own research and weigh the pros/cons.
The same people who might tell you to avoid soy might wave off the negative health effects of red meat and processed meats with sodium nitrates/nitrites etc. or other more well known carcinogens. I’m not vegan by any means but everything has pros/cons and you kind of just have to pick your battles and have a balance.
Some people also avoid corn and soy because they are often GMO and it’s hard to know if that matters either.
