The initial assault itself could well have been a fatal attack. If the other man’s head had hit the curb this story could have been a homicide case in the other direction.

In a civilized society you do not breach the violence barrier absent justified self-defense. The moment you do, the law no longer protects you - even if the other person is a complete scumbag who may deserve it.

I posted the fact that this shootin' guy apparently hung out in this particular parking lot like a territorial dog with a gun, and "protected" his "special" parking spaces.

Are you OK with this sort of behavior, or not?

It's a serious question.

I mean, if you're OK with having to look over your shoulder for armed crazies in public parking lots, who am I to argue with you?

Oh cut it out.

There was no curb. What is it with you folks?

You come out of a store and some guy has his face up in your wife’s face yelling at her. What are you going to do, extend you hand and introduce yourself?

The dumb ass that got in the wife’s face, was asking for it.

Who’s going to put up with that?

The black guy was making no move to approach the guy, and the guy on the ground killed him, even as he was turning moving away.

That WAS NOT a good shoot.
