It was a stupid idea with no chance of working, and the fact that he would even suggest such a thing puts in question his ability as an engineer, his judgment, and his intelligence.

All true, except Musk is not an engineer.

Doesn’t hold Engineering sheepskin. Neither did Steve Jobs.
