Here’s a topic to “brooch”! Queen Elizabeth II may have thrown a little shade toward President Donald Trump with the jewelry she donned on Thursday, July 12, the same day Trump arrived in England.
The small green flower brooch the British monarch wore on Thursday as she welcomed the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar to Windsor Castle has special significance. Dubbed the American State Visit Brooch, the vintage jewelry item was a gift from former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama from their state visit in 2011.
According to Politico, the Obamas purchased the brooch — a 1950 piece featuring 14-karat yellow gold, diamonds and moss agate — from Tiny Jewel Box, a Washington D.C. jewelry store frequented by presidents, first ladies and Cabinet members.
Elizabeth’s choice to wear the Obamas’ gift on the same day Trump arrived in England might have been a coincidence, but considering the number of brooches the Queen has, some pundits are thinking it was a deliberate choice.

The MP3 player came pre-loaded with photos from President Obama’s inauguration and audio files of the president’s speech as a senator to the 2004 Democratic National Convention and his 2009 inauguration address.
The queen reportedly already had an iPod.

It might be that she selected a piece of jewelry gifted by another American president as a way to honor him, too. To show her respect for the office and the country.
What is it with these “journalists” and their constant insertion of negativity into everything?
More likely, the brooch was seen as a gift from (more or less) an American, so it was worn as a sign of respect and gratitude toward America.

Somehow so-called “journalists” have the time to analyze the political consequence of the boiled vegetables served at a State luncheon, but they don’t have the time to ask how the Mueller/FBI investigation analyzed the DNC server to indite 12 Russians without the FBI having access to the server.
The way I read it, she wore the Kenyan’s brooch to meet the Archbishop and some muzzie on the day the President arrived, but not when she met the President.
Perhaps it was tact. If I were DJT and she greeted me wearing some trinket given her by the Kenyan, I’d think I was being needled.

That’s ridiculous. The Queen doesn’t “throw shade.” A nice gift from an American president does not throw shade on another president. Since some of the Queen’s attire is symbolic, this can well be read in a positive light. People are desperate to find something to attack Trump on.
There are some Brits going around claiming she wears the colors of Brexit while others see the EU in her frocks.
Except for the fact that the obama was never the president. He was never eligible for the office as he was not a natural born Citizen.
I do not see the Obama brooch in any of the Trump pictures.
