I loved “Airport” too...especially the little old lady who scammed the airlines!

true enough...I was thinking of the film ‘Zero Hour’, made as a terse thriller in 1957, in which the crew is felled by food poisoning, and commander Ted Stryker (Dana Andrews) is forced to fly the plane...there’s a clip out there somewhere that shows selections from the two films side by side...funny as hell...
