A week that began with reports that Papa Johns founder Papa John Schnatter somehow worked an overt hard-r racial slur into a conference call with a marketing company is ending with the removal of Schnatters name from virtually everything on which it had previously been emblazoned. There are only so many of these left at this point, but the University of Louisville announced on Friday that it would begin the work of prying Papas brand off their football stadium and, uh, The John H. Schnatter Center for Free Enterprise at the Louisville College of Business. He had already withdrawn from the schools board of trustees on Wednesday, and had stepped down from the schools Athletic Association back in April.
After Wednesdays rash of slur-driven disassociationsMLBs Papa Slam promotion and Schnatters status as his own companys chairman of the board were...

Are they going to return the endowment that Pappa John’s founder paid for the ‘naming-rights’ to the stadium? Just a thought...
The Louisville Cardinals are Alabamas Opening Day College Football opponent. Naturally, I was already hoping for a victory, but now I hope we destroy them.
I wish he would sue the University for every dime that he donated.
The University of Kentucky is also removing Schnatter’s name from the school.
I want any black who says “cracker” similarly ostracized
I bet they will not give the $$$back....
Getting the Paula Deen treatment from the press.
Wow, this entire episode proves how far down the PC rabbit hole we’ve fallen. This pizza purveyor is being cast out of polite society for saying “Colonel Sanders said ‘[n-word]’ all the time” during a conference call discussing how public relations has become a minefield in recent years. This is the sort of thing you’d expect to read in a Tom Wolfe (RIP) novel.
1984 is real.
And yet Robert KKK Byrd persisted in using the n-word by saying there are white niggers too. His name hasn’t been removed from anything.
Democrats honored him by leaving him in line of ascendecy for the White House.
And Obama’s own indoctrination in hate by Jeremiah Wright was considered out of bounds discussion during the 2008 scampaign.
Atlas Shrugged is at least paused.
Well now theyre free to name these places after some rapper who says nigger in every other word of their cr*p music.
“I love Poppa Johns sandwiches and will continue to eat there.”
Sandwiches eh?
I just might need a break from Chick-fe-lay...
.
LBJ, Carter, Bill and Hillary Clinton regularly use the word n***er all the time. Hillary Clinton called Donna Brazil a black bitch and worse. But all that is overlooked by the black sharecroppers that are still slaves to the democrat party.
So is the College of Business going to return his donation?
yeah, din’t think so.
Glad you didn’t say n word. I’m so sick of this shit.
The development of the “n word” has been one of the stranger things to have happened with language over the course of my lifetime. The “n word” has more power now than it did 50 years ago when I was a child. The word has been imbued with ever more power by the very people who are offended by it.
the company he used to run (he’s been forced down as CEO) is removing his face from boxes and materials as well.
their stock is going to bleed when he dumps his 30% owenership stock.
might as well change the name of Papa John’s Pizza to “that sh!tty corporate pizza some people used to like and we don’t like that guy anymore”.
“Give back every dime he contributed also. If his name isnt good enough, neither is the money. (But we know they wont do that). Hypocrites.”
Many of them, I think, are just cowards.
This lefty payback for Papa Johns dumping the NFL kneelers
So if the ol Colonel muttered the N word, why arent we taking his image and likeness off of everything relating to KFC? And there is no more Papa at Papa Johns are they going to rename the pizza chain? Johns? PJs?
