GOP Sen. John McCain blasted President Trump for his disappointing behavior at the NATO summit but assured the alliance that despite the presidents blistering comments, the United States stands solidly behind its longtime allies.
President Trumps performance at the NATO summit in Brussels was disappointing, yet ultimately unsurprising. There is little use in parsing the presidents misstatements and bluster, except to say that they are the words of one man, McCain, chair of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said in a statement Thursday.
Americans, and their Congress, still believe in the transatlantic alliance
and it is clear that our allies still believe in us as well, he added.

How is an entity that places 25-50% tariffs on our goods an “ally”? sounds like an economic enemy to me. And who are we “allied” against? Where is the military foe? Are there Warsaw pact troops massing on Germany’s borders? “Allies” my ass.

Dead Crazy Man walking.

Why can’t this worthless old bastard just move on to HELL!!
I wish him the very best in his private life, and in eternity when that happens. That said, he is undermining a sitting US President who was duly elected by the people. To attempt to ‘go around’ the President and speak directly to those the President is negotiating with (and that’s what it is, negotiating) is uncalled for. The political playbook used for the past 80 years doesn’t work, and Trump has thrown it out. This was long overdue.
Did Trump not prostrate himself to your satisfaction?
