"...invoking the original Articles of the Constitution (consistent with the Originalist jurisprudence favored by conservative jurists)"

Oh the horror!

Kavanaugh may be more Originalist/Conservative than I had initially believed.

"Kavanaugh tended to dissent more often along partisan lines than his peers"

What is that supposed to mean? Judges don't represent political parties, and most cases don't involve disputes between political parties.

From the article:

"Across the D.C. Circuit during Kavanaugh’s tenure there, 3 percent of the votes were dissents. But Kavanaugh cast a dissenting vote 7 percent of the time. When Kavanaugh authored the opinion, 14 percent of the time the co-panelists dissented against him, compared to only 10 percent of opinions that provoked dissents when he wasn’t the author."

In other words, this "radical" voted with the majority 93% of the time, and his colleagues agreed with 86% of the opinions that he authored. Boy, he is waaaay out there in La La Land.

“Dissent” is supposed to be a leftist virtue, but when a conservative dissents, it’s a sign of partisanship and extremism.

This is BS passing as hard sociological research. Most circuit court decisions are based on three-judge panels, so in each case the data set consists of only three units and three variables. Trying to base statistical analysis on such a small data set is like doing a nationwide poll of sixty people, and then forming conclusions based in the tiny data set.

It's like being alarmed by a "100% increase in murder" caused by the number of murders rising from 1 a year to 2 a year.

Even allowing for that, Kavanaugh voted with the majority 93% of the time, and 86% of the opinions he wrote had no dissenting opinion.

Brett Kavanaugh

The Intimidation of Patrick Knowlton

“ As a last resort, Knowlton prepared a "Report of Witness Tampering" and took it personally to the Office of the Independent Counsel. "It was their responsibility, at the very least, to find out who leaked word of his subpoena," notes Evans-Pritchard. According to Evans-Pritchard, John Bates responded by calling security and having Knowlton removed from the building.

Perhaps the most telling indication of Starr's attitude toward Knowlton is the humiliating cross-examination to which this brave man was subjected before the grand jury. Knowlton says that he was "treated like a suspect." Prosecutor Brett Kavanaugh appeared to be trying to imply that Knowlton was a homosexual who was cruising Fort Marcy Park for sex. Regarding the suspicious Hispanic-looking man he had seen guarding the park entrance, Kavanaugh asked, Did he "pass you a note?" Did he "touch your genitals?"

Knowlton flew into a rage at Kavanaugh's insinuations. Evans-Pritchard writes that several African American jurors burst into laughter at the spectacle, rocking "back and forth as if they were at a Baptist revival meeting. Kavanaugh was unable to reassert his authority. The grand jury was laughing at him. The proceedings were out of control."

It was at that point, reports Evans-Pritchard, that Patrick Knowlton was finally compelled to confront the obvious: "the Office of the Independent Counsel was itself corrupt." (pp. 106-107)”

from linked article:

“Reproductive choice — and its absence — affects what happens within women’s bodies.”

Not really. Reproductive choice stems from the prior choice that causes the pregnancy.

I will never, ever understand the frenzied uproar over abortion rights. Never.

Would just showing the ghouls a video of an abortion at least once a day quench their blood thirst?

He is not radically conservative whatever that means. He does wear a size extra medium shirt however. The reality is this guy supports stare decisis in almost all ceases. This guy will never overturn roeVwade and the dems know it. We are being played. President/stare decisis is only beneficial if you have honest jurists to start with and that’s not what we have. Stare decisis doctrine followed by our Supreme Court will only serve as a mechinism to perpetuate the tyranny of illegitimate decisions.

I am a radical conservative also. It’s been said I don’t have any gray area in my thinking.

Right! Gray means you ride the fence.. and if you have children, that gray area means they think they can get past it and do it anyway.. whatever the gray area stands for in any given family/person.

To a kid, a strong NO means there is no use asking again. A gray area no means, keep hounding.. there’s hope.

I admire the good people who don’t bend in the wrong direction. Trump is one of those who does not bend unless there is good reason to do better than he first thought.

Wishy washy gets a person nowhwere.
And how glad I am to see Fox squirm at Trump’s open and honest conversation across the table at NATO.. he doesn’t beat around the bush.. he gets right to the point.
Great! isn’t it!!
Fox media calls it ‘unorthodox’ and some other names. It amazes me that anything that isn’t done exactly like they think it should or used to be done... has names added to it... Trump gets things done... acommplishments.. and yet they are constantly surprised.

When the old lib guard comes on to “explain”, they sound so old, stale and obama like. I hope I never have to hear him again, and I hope he never gets a chance to go overseas on an apology tour again. It sounds so horrible.. sounds so defeated.. sounds so anti American!
