Time to knock the egotistical bastard down a few pegs!

The US taxpayer is funding Musk’s joy ride. Let’s close the spigot and let him fund his own damn ego.

You are correct. Musk’s sub would be tugged through a tight channel is such a way as to rip on the rough surfaces. Water would quickly flow in and its precious cargo would silently drown without anyone realizing what happened.

“Talk about sour grapes.”

I really doubt that you really read the article ...

Musk congratulated the team who carried out the operation, which concluded successfully on Tuesday afternoon. “Great news that they made it out safely. Congratulations to an outstanding rescue team.”

And your expertise in cave diving, submarines and rescue is?

I watched the 20/20 show on the rescue of the team, and saw the pictures of the caves. There’s no way anything but a boy and his rescue swimmer could have gotten through. Musk is dead wrong on this, and he’s making himself, for all his brilliance, look like a fool.

awww. Did Musk get his tiny little feelings hurt that low tech once again beat out high tech? His idea was stupid given cave conditions. And, as an added unforeseen benefit, at least some of those boys will end up as lifeguards, swim instructors or scuba divers for the military or private industry doing their own rescues - not a likely result if the only experience had was climbing inside a windowless thermos.

Probably angling for a subsidy from the Thai government. That’s the only thing he’s really good at.

Oh good grief Musk. You don’t know when to shut your muskrat. Have some class please. I’d be thanking God that the divers got it done.

Musk isn’t the only one in view full of himself. Give it a rest. Maybe he went into this meaning well, but now it’s just prideful preening.

I’ve worked with engineers. It’s pretty common for them to be brilliant and simultaneously socially tone deaf. I’d bet on that in this case.

And a lot of it was low-tech, that Buddhist meditation.

As a Christian, I believe that the Holy Spirit can manifest what theologians call (and the bible testifies to) prevenient grace to those who will explicitly believe at some later date. The whole operation looked uncannily parallel to a Christian salvation story. I give the ultimate glory to God. I pray that those who went through the experience and those who witnessed it do, too.
