As Haiti Burns, Never Forget: White People Did That
The Root ^ | July 9, 2018 | Michael Harriot

Posted on 07/10/2018 3:50:58 PM PDT by Trump20162020

On Saturday, the U.S. Embassy in Haiti warned American citizens, volunteers and missionaries in Haiti to stay in place and hunker down after angry demonstrators attempted to get past a barricade and security guards at a Port-au-Prince hotel.

CNN reports that American Airlines, JetBlue and the Spirit Airlines (whose official slogan is: “We’re like a Greyhound bus with wings”) canceled all flights to Haiti following unrest in the country related to rising fuel prices, corruption and widespread poverty.

When comparing them side-by-side, the story of the American Revolution ain’t got shit on the history of Haiti. For black people, Haiti represents the most beautiful story of strength, resistance and freedom that has ever been told. It is the story of a people who thrust off the chains of bondage and took their liberty from the hands of their oppressors.

For others, Haiti is a tragedy. There are some, whose names do not deserve mention, who even refer to it as a “shithole country.” But when discussing anything having to do with the country of Haiti, we should never forget that every bit of struggle in Haiti is related to the legacy of slavery, capitalism and American hypocrisy.

As unrest envelops Haiti once again, it is important for us to remember that Haiti suffers from a worldwide collusion between America and European countries intent on making the tropical paradise suffer. To blame Haiti’s problems on white people is not a harebrained hypothesis. It is an unbelievably treacherous fact that it often sounds like a kooky conspiracy theory.

I thought that was unpossible!

Every BLM activist says that white people did that exclusively to black people.

When black people do it to white people it is no doubt “justice.” [/sarc]

Long ago, Haiti called upon Satan to make a pact, if they were freed from bondage.
They were, but just from the physical—not the spiritual realm where everything eminates, exists; where a constant war ensues between God and satanic forces in their realm—where Satan is the “prince of he power of the air” (the atmosphere and space surrounding earth, and, unfortunately, the Earth itself).

Lets look at the Root's own hypocrisy. They praise the Clinton's efforts in Haiti, while ignoring that after the 2010 hurricanes, the Clinton Foundation along with other aid agencies took 90% of the aid for themselves. No mention of how the Clinton's control Haiti's mineral rights that they could use to get out of poverty if they wanted. Its only when Republicans are in charge are there human rights issues are important enough to get in the way of solving problems.

This "writer" is insane.

Seems as though the Spanish, and later French may share some blame, but the USA was hardly the cause of Haiti's poverty.

Since 1804, Haiti has been free of really ANY evil "white people" running anything.

But don't tell that to the commentators at the site.

It's all Trump's fault.

The Dominican Republic: same island, same race ... totally not a ****hole

I also notice this clown stopped his tirade before he might have gotten to the Clinton Foundation.

What’s wrong? Weren’t Bubba and Hillary not white enough to blame?

Blaming white people is ultimately BS anyway because it doesn’t recognize what is of paramount importance in that the people of Haiti might have made better decisions and had better leaders than they have had. Haiti had problems forced on it but Botswana, a black peopled country if ever there was one, started off dirt poor and uneducated but because they valued education, emulated better examples and their their leadership has been honorable men they now are well educated and among the most prosperous of African nations and they did it in far less time than Haiti has had.

Haiti is drowning not beneath a sea of troubles but it own mailiase of the heart, of despair and despondency. It’s remarkable how easy it is to teach people to blame someone else, isn’t it?

So why is the DR, the other side of Haiti, doing so well with tourism? I mean millions of white travelers have provided jobs to the DR.

The Haiti earthquake happened in 2010.

43 was not President then, Obama was.

At the time I remember asking if they were going to call the newly discovered fault responsible for the quake the Bush’s Fault .. because Barry sure blamed everything else on 43.

They’ve had 200 years to plant a tree and they haven’t done even that much.

Actually, they were known as Les Amis Des Noirs...Come to think of it, you're kind of right.

To do that, I would have to first remember where I read it. Since I don't, you might have a wait till I find it again.

They do not. They need to get rid of the International Humanitarian Metastasis which has crippled their ability to support themselves with their own resources, labor force, and enterprise.

What Haiti needs is birth control.

This wins the prize for the most stupid comment on this thread; implement the Margaret Sanger solution: eugenic genocide.

Maybe you stumbled on the wrong site.
