McCain says he’s on-board....if he can make it for the vote.
SHOCK!
I’m not so sure. Murkowski looks like she could get away with murder in Alaska. The fact that she’s there proves she practically did.
Really? That’s important. Not sure I would’ve thought that necessarily, but I like your line of reasoning. I guess Maine did elect that conservative governor, right?
“Bottom line is only way to stop Kavanaugh is to get either Collins or Murkowski to vote against him and there’s little or no chance of that happening because either would be devastated in her next primary if she did. “
agree 100% ... and there’s always the slim possibility that McCain will do the right thing and resign in time for his replacement to vote for this confirmation ...
I hope you are right.
In any case, I predict that the corrupt MSM will fall all over themselves to butter up Collins and Murkowski. Watch them over the next few weeks or months, they will be slobbering all over them hoping against hope to get them to pull an Arlen Specter type move.
good.
I see him was probably okay, nothing to get excited about in a positive way. But he’s probably the best we will get in this modern era. Another East Coast ivy league Catholic DC swamp creature, albeit probably the best example of that type we could ever hope for.
If Murkowski, Collins or Paul derail this, it is a grave mistake and could hurt us badly. Everyone remember when the RNC senate committee backed murkowski against the tea candidate? Now it’s coming back and rewarding us.
I like John Fund sometimes. He’s insightful here.
Sadly, seeing that Kavanaugh is a Washington insider, who approved of Obamacare, he will sail right through by Republican votes.
If only Palin had held on as governor to complete her term (getting someone to ghostwrite a book so as to pay her legal fees for the Dems’ nuisance lawsuits), she could well be senator now and we wouldn’t have to deal with the pathetic Lisa M.!
